With all respect to bigger brothers of SAL F28 /F/2.8 ,- this eye has undoubltly the best money/q rate in my opinion. lightweight, laconic, strong character inborn from SONY, - thats it-28/F/28.

This lens is sooooo light and small, only about 200 grams!! One of the best bangs for the buck on the Sony system, imo. And at F/2, youre able to capture pretty sharp and low noise pictures. Great for street and hiking photography. It packs tons of bang for the price. 28mm is pretty wide.
I LOOOOVE this lens! I needed a wide-angle prime lens for quite some time now but put it off thinking I needed to dish out several thousand dollars for a decent one. Picked up this lens on a whim just to see what it was like and ended up falling in love. Super light, compact and durable.
For the money this is a great little lens. IQ is as good as your going to get for the price, primarily use this at night for long exposure and very happy with the results. It dose suffer from barrel distortion (well documented) but this is nothing to worry about as its fixed with lens profile...
Lightweight
The product is listed as new. The box was opened and there were fingerprints on the lens glass. The lens is working fine but I am not very happy to start to clean a brand new lens!
This is the first lens I bought for my A7ii and I am very, very pleased with them both. The lens is very quick to focus the images are very sharp. The wide F2 gives me great control over focus. I really love the 28mm focal length.
Clarity across. I was disappointed at first until I realized that not all software reads raw images the same. ACDSee for example opens the raw image but the image is slightly blurred compared to the JPG that I thought I had a camera or lens problem.
If your looking for a cheap wife angle lens this is a must for your kit. Sharp images, great and wide enough for vlog, landscaping, street shoot.
Photographer Chase Jarvis famously said, “the best camera is the one you have with you”. This quote is the first thing that comes to mind when I think of the Sony 28mm f/2. This lens is light, small, and highly capable, which means I can take it with me everywhere.
At an RRP of AU$699 this lens represents excellent value for money and promises to deliver superior performance on Sony's α7-series cameras, particularly those with lower resolution (which means most of them).
