I really like it as I was able to transfer all of my photos and other stuff on it in one location. I'm happy with it. The only thing I did was to format it to a Gpt. I do prefer WD drives over other brands.

A good buy, but it is a 3400 rpm drive, not 7200. I should have perused the specs more carefully. Basically only good for storage of data. Not suitable for editing video as I had planned.

I have three external backups now. One Seagate, and two Western Digital. This is very quite and fast! I was surprised how small it was. It's as small as my 1TB Seagate. It also comes with their Backup Pro software which was a major reason I bought this over the other brand. Highly recommend this

This is my external drive for storing archive copies of all RAW format pictures from my business.

It worked fine for about 2 years, but almost exactly on the 2 year anniversary of the date that I bought it, my computer wouldn't recognize it, saying that the drive had malfunctioned. This is my 4th WD hard drive to fail. Stay far, far away from this.

I've only had it for a few months, but like all similar WD drives in its class, it looks like it will last for several years of normal use! A normal expectation, of a high-performing product!

These Western Digital external drives are great, simple to use (you just connect it to your computer, open it, and then drag and drop your files) and not too noisy. Whats not to like...? 3TB of USB 3.0 space. It comes with good build quality from a well known brand.
