Bought this as had enough of the extremely humid nights keeping me awake. My conventional fan was too noisy to keep on all night. This is much better than my fan on lowest setting, still makes an audible noise however, but got used to it in the end.

The AM06 is an impressive spectacle to behold -- but it's still just a desk fan. For such an expensive device, we wish that it doubled as a space heater, like Dyson's AM05, or featured a more noticeable bump in performance. It doesn't, and that makes it difficult to recommend.

I'd read mixed reviews of Dyson fans, some saying they're no better than a bog-standard cheap fan. WHAT THIS FAN IS AMAZING - SUPER QUIET & SO EFFECTIVE!! We can finally sleep well in our loft bedroom in this heatwave (temperatures in London sometimes 25C even at midnight).

Because of the high cost in comparison to other fans, I waited a long time before purchasing. I have 2 huskies who are very curious and I never put a fan on the floor for fear they would be injured. I had no qualms about putting this on the floor. It's quiet and it really moves the air.

Dyson is known for two things: elegant technology and high prices. The company takes mundane objects like vacuum cleaners and fans and remakes them into stylish paragons of their respective categories, superlative in both form and function.
