Dyson's fan range is now in its second generation, building on the original Air Multiplier range with a redesigned internal motor which promises to use less power but provide significantly greater airflow than the outgoing model.

Sorry if this is too much information, but Mrs Technopolis and I always like to sleep with a fan whirring. A steady stream of cooling air and a shoosh of neutral white noise just works for us.

I'm now on my 3rd Dyson AM06 fan, the others were both sent back with the same fault - which I have seen mentioned numerous times here - an annoying clicking noise when oscillating.

Apart from the bright "always on" display reported by several other owners and which is simply lazy design, I have encountered two other problems with this product. The first has been mentioned by others and that is the clicking sound from the oscillation mechanism, which itself isn't a show...

I never thought I'd be so glowing about a fan. So quiet compared to a normal fan, and handy features. Expensive, but after all, it is a Dyson.

Here come the warmer months and that reason to get the old trusty fan out. But before you do, you might want to consider a healthy update of the personal cooling device, as Dyson updates its original air multiplier, making the whole thing quieter than before.

Quiet efficient and safe fan. At the moment I can't find the remote (which is black and tiny) so all I can do is turn it on and off . It goes to the last setting used and speed or oscillation can't be changed. It is not easy to order a new remote to Australia online.

This is my second purchase of a Dyson Bladeless Fan, already have the pedestal model. Great product!

We bought the AM06 model on Friday 22nd January 2016. We assembled it as soon as we got home. Loved the controller which gave us 1 to 10 fan speed as well as the oscillator. Loved the cooling of the fan - it almost felt like an air conditioner.
