Plantronics Voyager Edge Bluetooth Headset

Plantronics' headset is about twice as long as Jawbone's, although the shape is different. Instead of having parallel edges, Voyager Edge starts with a diamond shape at the top, with a 1.8" long, 0.2" wide segment jutting out from the bottom.

Plantronics Voyager Edge

The Voyager Edge has three built-in mics that have a propriety noise and wind cancellation features that help provide one of the clearest voice calls I have experienced. Setting up the Edge is an easy option, you don have to hold down a button to set up Bluetooth.

Plantronic's Voyager Edge balances great call quality with trim size

In the end, my misgivings proved unfounded. Not only is the Edge as good at killing background din and isolating your voice as the Voyager Legend, it sounds noticeably better than the Era without being a heck of a lot bigger.

The Plantronics Voyager Edge packs outstanding call quality and noise cancellation; The headset is also light, comfortable to wear, and compact for a boom-style device.

The Voyager Edge's ear tips don't form a tight audio seal and take some fiddling to position properly

Plantronics Voyager Edge

Plantronics and Jawbone have been duking it out with their Bluetooth headsets for years now, the former focusing on superior call quality while the latter delivers devices with unrivaled style.

Excellent call quality; Easy pairing using NFC; Charging cradle included; Solid battery life given its size

Mediocre wind resistance; Tested range is slightly short

Plantronics Voyager Edge Review

Plantronics and Jawbone have been duking it out with their Bluetooth headsets for years now, the former focusing on superior call quality while the latter delivers devices with unrivaled style. That battle continues with the Plantronics Voyager Edge ($129.99), which looks to take on the refreshed Era by Jawbone. Plantronics sticks to its tried-and-true boom-mic design, but dispenses with the bulky over-the-ear shape of the Voyager Legend. Thankfully, the clean call quality remains, and it still outperforms Jawbone's offering in most cases. The difference between the two will come down to a simple question: Do you value form or function? We still prefer the Era's refined, discreet design and solid performance, but the Edge is still an excellent choice if call quality is a top priority. Design and FitThe Voyager Edge isn't replacing the older Legend—in fact, it looks a whole lot more like the company's Discovery 975. Think of it as a bridge between the performance-focused Voyager l...

I love it... its easy to set up.. keeps charge etc.. I've had several Bluetooth accessories and this by far is the BEST one I've owned.. it doesn't irritate my ear like others have and it comes with adjustable ear pieces. the rechargeable piece that comes with works also. Plantronics' latest premium Bluetooth headset is the voice activated, noise-cancelling Voyager Edge, with a carrying case that for some reason looks like a coffin.

Plantronics Voyager Edge Review

Plantronics knows a thing or two about Bluetooth headsets, being one of the stalwarts of the industry, but the new Voyager Edge still has something unusual to it. Fitting in-between Plantronics' Legend and Discovery lines of earpieces, the Voyager Edge claims to pair the performance of the former...
