Great camera features

Love this phone. Lots of features, especially with the camera. Could be an issue if you have small hands as it is bigger than I expected it to be and can be awkward to hold sometimes.

iPhone 8 Review: Don't Waste Your Time or Your Money

Would I buy this phone? Absolutely not. I can think of multiple phones I'd rather own and use than the iPhone 8. The camera is great, as is the A11 chipset, but that's not enough to warrant a price hike on a phone that is more or less indistinguishable from last year's iPhone 7.

A11 CPU is MASSIVELY Powerful; Like What Apple's Done With iOS 11; Decent Camera

Too Expensive; Boring Design; Squiffy Performance; Average Battery Life

iPhone 8 Plus review

The iPhone 8 Plus is a hard phone to recommend. Sure, it's powerful, but so is every other flagship - and with a dated design and huge body, the 8 Plus is lagging behind. Throw in the fact that the wireless charging is slow, the fast wired charging costs you extra, and flagship camera feature...

Worth while

Lovely bit of kit, great value sort of, shame manufacturer don't provide a fast charge charger, it's a great feature but costs extra, also get some AppleCare just in case you drop it very important

iPhone 8 Plus review: still massive – but not in a good way

The iPhone 8 Plus is a big, chunky phablet that stands out like a sore thumb in the crowded marketplace filled with sleeker rivals. It's massive, and not in a good way, in an era where a big screen doesn't have to mean a big phone.

32-hour battery life; great dual-camera system; water resistant; wireless charging; fingerprint scanner

bad 2014 design; no headphone jack; no fast charger in the box; expensive; massive bezels; too wide to comfortably hold; heavy

iPhone 8 Review: Smart Phone, Dumb Upgrade

You'll need to make your own mind up about this one, since it's a refined smartphone but a lacklustre upgrade. Had Apple included a fast charger and maybe some form of wireless charging pad, it would have matched the 8/10 awarded to last year's iPhone 7 Plus.

iPhone 8 Plus review

The iPhone 8 Plus is a hard phone to recommend. Sure, it's powerful, but so is every other flagship - and with a dated design and huge body, the 8 Plus is lagging behind. Throw in the fact that the wireless charging is slow, the fast wired charging costs you extra, and flagship camera feature Portrait Lighting just doesn't work well enough yet, and the 8 Plus is a tough sell. If you're coming from an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus there's not much to justify the upgrade - though moving from a 6 or 6s is more understandable. And if you're currently an Android user, you'll find phones that are just as fast, with modern designs, for far less money in the Android ecosystem. It's just hard to see the argument for spending £799/$799 on a phone this big in 2017, especially with the smaller-bodied iPhone X now in the line up. This one's for big-handed Apple devotees only.

Apple iPhone 8 Review

Apple doesn't slide backward, but sometimes it moves forward slowly. The new iPhone 8 ($699 for 64GB; $849 for 256GB) rests a little bit on Apple's laurels. While it's an excellent phone, it doesn't bring any radical new consumer features for owners of the iPhone 7 or even 6s models. Its powerful new A11 processor sets the stage for Apple's augmented reality future, but if you're interested in that, the iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X are better bets. Before we begin, I'd like to note the score above: 3.5 stars, the lowest we've rated an iPhone in a while. The iPhone 8 has some class-leading features, most notably that A11 processor and a camera that matches other $700 flagships. But on price-performance balance, it's the least appealing member of the iPhone family right now, and for that, we docked it half a star. A Familiar Design The iPhone 8 looks a lot like the iPhone 7, except that the metal back has been switched out for shimmering glass. At 5.45 by 2.65 by 0.29 inches (HWD) a...

The iPhone 8 anchors Apple's 2017 phone line, but it isn't where the future is.

Wireless charging; Powerful new processor

Lacks the latest modem features and bands; Single camera is a disadvantage for AR; Not a huge upgrade over last year's model, which is still available
