Apple iPhone 8, 8 Plus review: Benchmark set for performance and usability
The iPhone 8 (Rs64,000 (64 GB); Rs77,000 (256 GB)) and iPhone 8 Plus (Rs73,000 (64 GB); Rs86,000 (256 GB)) have retained a lot of the design language from the predecessors, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
Review: Apple iPhone 8 and 8 Plus
The first place I took the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus was a sticky, late-summer wedding just outside of Austin. It turned out to be the perfect way to stress-test the new devices. The iPhones 8 have new cameras designed to hack it even on a drunken dance floor.- The world is going camera-first, and this is a kick-ass camera
- The glass design is a big improvement
- Wireless charging makes everything better
- There's a lot of bezel on this phone
- Next to the iPhone X, it already feels outdated
- The iPhone 8 lets you do so much, but iOS 11 buries too much of it
Apple iPhone 8 Plus
The iPhone 8 Plus is a superlative phone with a spectacular camera, but wait for the upcoming iPhone X before buying: it promises to fold all of the key features of the 8 Plus into a smaller, sexier package.- Fantastic dual-lens camera shoots better than ever with improved portrait mode
- Adds wireless charging
- Lightning-fast speed
- Starts at 64GB
- Dated design
- Most competing Android phones have even larger screens
- Upcoming iPhone X could be a more compelling choice
You typically have to wait a year for the latest Apple iPhone to be surpassed, yet at its most recent launch event, this took just ten minutes. Fresh off the back of unveiling the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus , Apple launched its flagship iPhone X – a high-end model that completely redesigns how the...
Apple iPhone 8 First Impressions Review: The iPhone 7 in an All Glass Body
Apple on September 12 showcased the world new iPhones. This event was special for two reasons, one was that it took place at the Steve jobs theater in Apple's new Cupertino headquarters, Apple Park and the other was marking 10 years of the iPhone.
Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus hands-on review
They might not come with Animojis but there’s a lot to love about Apple’s more affordable new iPhones. There’s no edge-to-edge screen or Face ID, either, but opposable thumbs are one of the things that set humans apart from the animals, so it’s worth keeping them well worked and reminding them of that. What the new iPhone 8 models do get is the new A11 Bionic processors and top-notch cameras (particularly where the 8 Plus is concerned), plus they’ll fit most of your iPhone 7 cases and accessories. Wireless charging is included here as it is on the iPhone X, and the new design sure does look pretty. No, they're (probably) not going to be as good as the X overall, but if your bank account frowns at the thought of a £1000 smartphone, you won't go far wrong by picking up an 8 or 8 Plus. We'll have a full review for you very soon.
iPhone 8 Plus
Judging by the to pick up the and iPhone 8 Plus, there isn't a whole lot of hype around Apple's latest plus-sized phone. This isn't because it's a bad phone, but because Apple superseded the iPhone 8 Plus around 10 minutes after it was announced by showing off the OLED-toting, bezel-free .- Excellent
- versatile camera
- Great screen
- Super speakers
- Wireless charging is nice to have
- Very heavy
- Boring design
- No OIS on secondary camera
- Would have liked the screen to be OLED
iPhone 8 Plus review
The iPhone 8 Plus is a hard phone to recommend. Sure, it's powerful, but so is every other flagship - and with a dated design and huge body, the 8 Plus is lagging behind. Throw in the fact that the wireless charging is slow, the fast wired charging costs you extra, and flagship camera feature...
