TP-Link TL-SG1008D 8-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch Review
With computer systems sporting Gigabit LAN Port being a norm these days, a Gigabit switch makes it all the better by allowing your computers to communicate at Gigabit LAN speed.

Easy to set up.
I have read several reviews describing a high pitched whine coming from this unit. I am happy to report that no such sound can be heard from it as it sits atop a shelving unit in my entertainment center.
Pros:
- Easy to set up gigabit switch
- Matches well with the Archer-C7 I purchased several months earlier
Cons:
- None thus far

Very good switch at a reasonable price. TPLink switches just work without bother.

Cheap Switch/Fast Performance
The switch is a good base line to get Gigabit ethernet working on your network. I plugged it in to my router, hooked up my PC's and I was transferring large files within minutes. I wish this switch had different light indicators to indicate which speed it is connected at, but for its price point,...
Pros:
- Cheap Works Well Full 2 gbps capability
Cons:
- No indicators to determine connection speed

Does the job - to this point
Upgrade for a 10-100 switch. Out of the box and right to work. Children notice no change which is good. Wife's desktop now is using its nic to full capacity. Have 3 desktops, 2 laptops , 8 drops through out the house.

An Inexpensive Energy Efficient Fast Eight Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch
Much more difficult to install than using Wi-Fi but performs so much better and much more secure. The difficulty lies in running ethernet cables and not being portable.
Pros:
- Extremely fast plus energy efficient much more secure then Wi-Fi

Nice switch
Worked immediately upon connection. Power supply is angled sideways to limit power strip space usage to just one outlet. Most of my eight ports were filled up quickly, so I'm glad that I got this instead of a less-expensive switch having fewer ports.

It's a switch, so there's not really much to say other than "it works well". I've had no problems with it in the few months I've owned it so far, and it's still working fine, so...go buy one?
