Sonos move

Item is well designed, looks and sounds great. This is my first potable speaker so can not compare to previous, however very impressed with the item. Set up is a little lengthy (was expending to just find the speaker in my phone bluetooth device list and away I go) however still pretty straight...

Sonos Move Portable Wireless Speaker Review

The waterproof/dustproof Move is one of the best-sounding and full-featured portables available. It may just be my new favorite speaker.

Fabulous sound quality; Replaceable battery; Supports Alexa and Google Assistant; Convenient charging base

Mono playback; Audio input limited to wireless; No phone capability

Goondu review: Sonos Move impresses with audio quality on the go

Sonos has come a long way from being a pioneer in wireless music streaming to a respectable speaker maker and its latest Move portable speaker shows its pedigree in a crowded field of wannabe audio manufacturers.

Sonos Move review: Sonos just burgled Google Home and drowned out Echo

Sonos Move is an entirely logical product for Sonos to bring out, in some ways . It extends Sonos' reach into your garden and beyond, albeit via Bluetooth rather than by expanding its multi-room network onto 4G.

Excellent sound; Connects over both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth; Impressively ruggedised and water resistant; App supports numerous streaming services; And there's Apple AirPlay; Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant; too

Unusually hefty for a 'portable' speaker; Also unusually pricey; though you get your money's worth; Audio takes a little bit of a hit when on Bluetooth

Sonos Move review: house shaker, not road warrior

For the past week or so, I've been listening to music on a wireless speaker in my living room, in my kitchen, in my home office, on my patio, and even at the park. While some people might do this with a variety of different speakers, I've been using the same speaker in all of those places: Sonos'...

Loud; full sound; Reliable wireless connectivity; Seamlessly integrates with other Sonos products; Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant on board; Sounds great indoors or out

Pricey; Some significant setup bugs and headaches; Too big and heavy to travel with; 10-hour battery life is shorter than other Bluetooth speakers

Sonos Move - Black MOVE1AU1BLK review

The Sonos Move is an excellent, smart, great-sounding speaker that is truly wireless. Packing wifi and Bluetooth, a 10-hour battery, easy charging, a durable case, weather resistance and loud, punchy sound, you could take this portable powerhouse practically anywhere.

Pros: wifi and Bluetooth; IP56 weather resistance; durable; 10-hour battery (can be replaced); USB-C; Alexa or Google Assistant; very wide music service compatibility; Spotify Connect; AirPlay 2; Sonos multi-room audio; long expected support life

Cons: heavy; expensive; only available in black; no 3.5mm line-in; cannot be used as part of Sonos 5.1 system

Sonos Move - Black MOVE1AU1BLK review

The Sonos Move is a great speaker but it might not be for you. If you already are a part of or plan on joining the Sonos ecosystem then this is a great addition to your setup.

Reliable connection; Solid Sonos app; IP56 weatherproof build; Supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth; Microphones work well; can be toggled off; Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa compatibility; The charging cradle is great

Price; AAC only; no aptX; The handle is not for carrying the speaker long distances; Speaker is too heavy and awkward to be truly portable

Sonos Move review: Great outdoors

Sonos has been the leading brand in wireless whole-home audio since the company effectively created the category almost 20 years ago. But in all that time, it has steadfastly refused to support Bluetooth wireless connections on its devices. Only Sonos knows all the reasons why the company held back, but that chapter is now closed. The company’s first truly portable (and Bluetooth-capable) $399 Move is here. The only remaining question is, given the considerable investment it requires, is the Move worth it? Sonos products have a reputation for superb build quality, and whether we’re talking about a Sonos One SL (formerly the Play:1) or a Sonos Sub, each speaker feels solid and substantial. The Sonos Move takes this even further. It weighs 6.6 pounds, making it over two pounds heavier than a Sonos One, and nearly twice the weight of the Ultimate Ears Megablast, a portable speaker that has many of the same features. Still, thanks to its well-designed integrated carry-handle, you can carry...

Superb build quality; Integration with Sonos systems; Sounds especially good outdoors; User-replaceable battery;

Sonos app doesn’t work over Bluetooth; Big size, big price;
