ROCCAT Renga Headset

The new ROCCAT Renga headset is a good Gaming headset as there's plenty to like from its looks to the construction and the quality of the sound produced. I just wish it knew if it was an on-ear or an over-ear headset as for me it was really neither. But at just £35 maybe we shouldn't complain…

Unreliable and Poor Build Quality

I had issues with this headset right out of the box. The headphones worked fine, but the microphone seemed to only be recognised by one of my audio inputs and even then it was extremely finicky - stopping and starting working at random, which was very inconvenient as while it wasn't working anyone I...

These were perfectly fine headphones in quality

These were perfectly fine headphones in quality, but they were to tight on my head and hurt my ears. They weren't a good fit for me, but it had nothing to do with the product, but everything to do with my fat head.

Roccat Renga gaming headset - Too good to be true

I wanted to like the Roccat Renga headset. On paper (and out of the box), it seemed like a promising budget headset. It sounds good, it's comfortable, and the price is right. Unfortunately, I kept running into issues.

Lightweight; Comfortable; Decent sound quality

Build quality; No sound isolation; Microphone could be better

ROCCAT RENGA Headset: Australian Review

If you're gaming on a console or PC, chances are you'll have come across an advertisement for a gaming headset at some stage. There's plenty of choice for every gamer and every budget. Pure headphones. Cheap headphones. Headphones with a detachable microphone. Headphones with separate mixers.

Roccat Renga PC and PS4 Gaming Headset Review

Roccat has proven once again that they know how to make a great bit of hardware. The Renga may not be the most feature-packed, over the top or expensive gaming headset we've ever seemed, but in its respective price range, it ticks all the right boxes for a well-rounded headset.

Durable build quality; Auto-adjusting headband; Crystal clear sound; In-line controller; Sleeved cables; Multi-format support; Exceptionally comfortable fit; Affordable

Maximum volume could be higher; If Roccat fix this, I'll upgrade this to an Editor Choice Award product

Roccat Renga Review

Roccat isn't the biggest name in gaming peripherals this side of the Atlantic, but the company still offers a wide selection of products, including some very solid picks like the Kova mouse ($54.99 at Amazon) and the Ryos MK Pro keyboard ( at Amazon) . It also makes the Renga, a $49.99 wired gaming headset that works with any device with one or two 3.5mm ports. It's a well-built headset with punchy sound, though middling musical fidelity limits its use outside of playing games. DesignWhile the "studio grade sound" emblazoned on the left earcup is questionable at this price point, the Renga ($99.99 at Amazon) certainly looks and feels inspired by studio monitors more than any sort of gaming accessory. The headset is matte black and angular, with skeletal plastic earcup covers and a thin, sturdy wire headband that suspends a springy, leather-like band under it. The large, circular over-ear cups are made of padded leatherette, and feel comfortable even on larger heads when worn for l...

The Roccat Renga is a simple, stylish gaming headset with a budget-friendly price.

Inexpensive; Good build quality; Attractive design

Mediocre bass and high-frequency response limits appeal for listening to music; Boom mic isn't removable
