The Nikon D3500 is a budget-friendly DSLR camera that is equipped with both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for flawless online uploading. Its sizable image sensor produces crisp, detailed photos. This device also boasts an impressive maximum resolution of 24.7 megapixels.

For years, Nikon's D3XXX series of cameras has been my recommendation for anyone looking for their first DSLR. Having replaced the D3400 in August 2018, the Nikon D3500 is the most recent model in the line8.

The D3500 is a compact and likeable DSLR for beginners. It's not great for video and its image transfer is slow. But for stills it's a solid choice and its Guide Mode makes it easy to learn.

This D3500 Nikon camera takes great pictures. We have had several Nikon cameras over a period of the last 37 years. The lenses that came with it do a great job, even with the 70-300 lens the pictures were very sharp even in low light with no flash. The camera is very user friendly.

For less than £300 you can get an excellent beginners’ Nikon DLSR with a kit lens included

If you already own the D3500's predecessor, the D3400, this is not a worthwhile upgrade. There simply aren't enough improvements to justify the faff. Indeed, it's hard to name many DSLRs from which this would be a significant upgrade.
