The R6300 was the very first 802.11ac-router we got our hands on, back in the summer of 2012 . Now it's been replaced, by the Netgear R6400 which we'll be discussing in this article. Not much has changed on the inside, but the outside has been completely updated.

NETGEAR contacted us shortly after the R6400 review posted, saying our results differed significantly from theirs (they also have an Octoscope test setup). NETGEAR cited the early production sample submitted for review as a possible cause and also said a new firmware revision should provide improved...

So far the most stable router at any price !

Glad to buy it, as I have several dozen of neighbours with strong routers around and typically ANY router losses connection to my 4 notebooks and half dozen of smartphones, printers etc. I have to reboot normally 3-6 times per day. Netgear R6400 does this in a way that all other routers go to trash.

I purchased it to replace an old TP Link router that was dropping connections and no 5G capability. This router was setup and configured in a matter of minutes. I pluggued in a 4TB external drive I had in the USB3 port, shared it in the router console, and it became available to every computer...

Bought at $157.66; -external switch to disable/enable WiFi; -Very fast wired transfers; -Very fast WiFi transfers; - Tonnes of settings; - Full of features; - Customizeable like WiFi scheduling

-Air print with iPad ou iPhone need to have at least one PC running to enable this function; -Reboot slowly; -This week go for Netgear Nighthawk AC1900(R7000) at $194.99

Poor Quality

After 2 months use the unit's wi-fi connection quit and cold not be reinstated. LAN connection continued to work but could never again connect via wi-fi (wi-fi light indicator would not light). Got no response from Netgear. Hooked up my old Netgear router (with much less range) and all worked OK.

NETGEAR AC1750 Smart WiFi Router— 802.11ac Dual Band Gigabit (R6400)

This is a great router. My cheap router of around 7 years quit working all of a sudden and I rushed out and bought a Netgear modem/router combo. When I had a hard time getting it to connect I called Charter and they informed me that the combo I had bought was in their minimum qualified devices.

Easy setup, excellent control interface

This router replaced a 2.4GHz only router and speed improvements with 5GHz were obvious. I like the great interface to setup and administer, restrict WiFi and other control parameters. I do not use the share feature, but it is a great router with GBit hub for the price.

Easy to set up!

With 5 laptops, 3 smart phones, 2 iPods, 1 smart TV, Dish network streaming, Netflix, and Alexa yelling at me, our wi-fi router is under a great load. This new Netgear router was easy to set up, has a greater range in our home, and hasn't logged off by itself at all!

Easy to Use; Performance; value

Bought to replace Virgin hub as the wifi connections kept dropping out, until I got this and so far it's been 100%
