Excellent value

I purchased two of these to replace some old 10/100 switches at my office. I was concerned that our new IP surveillance system would eat up the bandwith from the users so I wanted the gigabit speed that these offered. ..

Simple, Stable and a great value!

If you need a GIG, you get a GIG and this is a very simple and efficient solution for those areas where you just can't afford to run another ethernet cable!
Pros:
  • A monkey with poor eyesight can set this up
Cons:
  • A more contemporary cabinet would be nice

Netgear Powerline AV 500 Adapter Kit

It's hard to beat the convenience of a home Wi-Fi network but it can't touch wired connectivity when it comes to throughput speed. Unfortunately, wiring your home with CAT-5 cabling can get expensive and messy if you don't know what you're doing.
Pros:
  • Simple setup
  • Relatively good throughput.
Cons:
  • Runs warm
  • User guide only available online

Does exactly what it say it does

Have had very few issues with these phones in an enterprise environment. Can set up DHCP-enabled VOIP phones, dual-sub net development workstations, this switch handled it all.

Rock Solid

I have these switches in various configurations (5, 8, etc port) in decently harsh manufacturing environments, and they've been rock solid. They're built tough, and have minimal footprint. Plus they're gigabit! They are great unmanaged switches for adding ports to your network in a pinch.

This product rocks!

I have this switch installed between my router and ADSL bridge. I can now run Bit Torrent at full throttle and use my Vonage VOIP adapter at the same time with no problems. If you're watching the Torrent client while using the phone you can see the upload bandwidth automatically drop when the phone...
Pros:
  • Nicely priced
  • compact
  • easy to install
  • and easy to set up.
Cons:
  • The ports and lights are on the same side which means this switch is intended for a rack rather than a home install
  • For me this is insignificant to the benefits of the QoS features this switch offers
