Logitech G915 TKL review

The Logitech G915 TKL is one of the best compact wireless gaming keyboards available, featuring oodles of versatility by supporting both Bluetooth and Logitech's Lightspeed technology, but it also comes with a very high price.

Compact and portable design; Lightspeed and Bluetooth switching is seamless; Three options of superb GL switches; Macro key customisation is incredible;

Very expensive ; Lack of USB passthrough;

Logitech Launches G915 TKL Wireless RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Logitech today unveiled a new keyboard aimed at gamers who hate wires, but love mechanical switches. The Logitech G915 TKL is a tenkeyless wireless keyboard developed to satisfy gamers by combining mechanical switches, a fast wireless connection, long battery life, and reactive RGB per-key lighting. And it needs to impress because the G915 is priced at $229. The compact design (368-by-150-by-22mm) and 810-gram weight should make the G915 easy to carry around while still offering a satisfying typing experience thanks to the use of GL mechanical switches. GL switches are half the height of typical mechanical key switch, but offer 25 percent faster actuation, according to Logitech. There's also a choice between using GL Linear, GL Tactile, and GL Clicky switches with the keyboard to suit your typing preference. As for the wireless connection, Logitech is promising its Lightspeed wireless technology offers a 1ms report rate without compromising on battery life, which is rated at 40 ...

Great keyboard

Really good keyboard with nice key switches and satisfying click. The TKL size is very convenient and doesn't take up so much space on the desk. The low profile keys make the keyboard thinner so it's easy to type on. And the RGB lighting is stunning and fully customisable per key. I've used it for about 2 weeks and the battery is still 50%, using 75% brightness and 5 minute sleep delay. Unfortunately still doesn't use Type C for charging, but this isn't a big deal. Also the key caps feel a bit cheap and rattle somewhat. Recommend buying on good discount as the original price is too high for what you get.

Great keyboard but worth the price?

I'm not a gamer, I code, so YMMV: This keyboard has a lot too like. It's solidly built, has nice keys, more colours than you need, media functions built in, a nice dedicated volume roller and it's a good size. It's a keyboard and it nails the basics: it types well. However, at this price point, it's gotta exel in every area and it just doesn't. There are too many niggles to justify the cost. But then, I'm not sure what other keyboard to get, there are few options for non-gamers in this space. Things to know: - no numpad - it's slim but not Apple-keyboard thin - there are three choices in key switches and not much guidance on how to pick...view more

This keyboard is amazing

I have mechs in all form factors, and a custom board, so I was a little unsure whether I would even use this one. That plus the high price made me hesitate, however as soon as I typed on this for the first time I knew it was the right choice to pick one up. Tactile sounds and feels great, the low profile is a game changer. If you do a lot of typing or coding, but also dont just want a mushy flatboard, this is the way to go. Feels great in game too, low travel distance makes everything easy, plus no need for a wrist rest because its so low. Not sure what is up with the software though, its onboard memory doesnt seem to work properly, but th...view more

Awesome Keyboard

Awesome for typing and games. Nice and compact. Great battery life, I have used it for 2.5 weeks and only had to charge it twice. Nice sturdy frame, I use this on the couch for gaming a bit and because it is so nice and heavy it stays perfectly still on my knee.

Logitech G915 Lightspeed TKL long-term review: The Magic Keyboard for gaming

Logitech’s G915 is for the gamer who wants the aesthetics of Apple’s Magic Keyboard with the feel of a mechanical switch (plus a good dose of RGB). I have searched far and wide for a keyboard that nails the look and feel, and after scouring dozens of low-profile options, I settled on the Logitech’s recent G915 TKL. It’s not as robust as a full-size board, and the pric, like a lot of Logitech peripherals, e is too high. Still, the combination of the Lightspeed wireless technology, fairly unique low-profile switches, and rock-solid build make the G915 feel like it earns its asking price. It’s a keyboard that manages gaming and typing well, and it’s a showstopper in the visual department. Although it took a while to adjust to the low-profile keycaps and Logitech’s switches, I’ve grown to love the balance that the G915 offers — and after months of continuous use, I’m not returning to a full-size keyboard any time soon. The Logitech G915 is available in two versions: Either full-size or a t...
