This gamepad has been a great replacement for a previous logitech gamepad I had which was almost identical, save for having a cord. The cable in that one broke, so I got this one and it's served me almost flawlessly ever since.
I bought the Logitech F710 as I felt some of my PC games were best played on a controller rather than a keyboard and/or mouse. Wireless was also a necessity as I usually play far from my PC. I must say, the controller does not disappoint.
Dual input (Direct Input/XBox); Sturdy build; Wireless has good range; Battery life is awesome; Buttons are still crisp even after years of usage
Logitech could have used a unifying receiver with it
Easy of use; no set up issues
None
I really like the F310 so I thought I'd give the wireless version a try. Seems to be every bit as good as the old reliable F310. No noticeable lag when using with Windows 7 in Direct mode.
Upon first glance, this looks like a typical controller, and it is, until you try to use the [...] thing. It is so hard to program game profiles its ridiculous. Most of my games don't even recognize this gamepad. It was a nightmare trying to find drivers for it.
This is a great gamepad but it has some serious problems and until logitech fix this product, it's not worth buying. Pros: - It looks great. - The design is great. (Classic logitech design, a bit heavier which like). - Xinput and DirectInput support is just genius.
Its an awesome controller, however it is a bit pricey but for the controller it is, its quite reasonable, also it does tend to fail occasionally, I sit down on my house and my computer is less than 2 feet away and it keeps failing and failing the wireless, stops responding in the middle of the game...
Wouldn't use any other =D
I originally set this up with the calibration software that came with it. It just didn't want to work. I then found Pinnacle, which made calibration much easier. Still, in both places, it treats the directional pad like the left analog stick and the left analog stick like the d-pad.
