Excellent Burner for the cost
I bought this 4 years ago and it is still going strong. I got to a book study group that meets twice a year, 11 weeks at a time. I make myself a copy of everything I digitally record & make approximately 6 sets for other people, so about 80 cds twice a year. It is flawless in recording & playback.

A great alternative to built in DVD drive
The first one of these didn't work properly. MC was happy to exchange. This one works perfectly.

Unreliable
My MacBook Pro doesn't have an internal CD/DVD drive, so I purchased this LG external drive. I used it daily for one year to watch DVDs. After about 6 months, I started getting error messages every time I would watch a DVD. Mac DVD Player would display: "Skipping over damaged area," then crash.

Very happy with this drive. I was wanting to buy the Apple super drive. Changed my mind after reading the reviews about it. This is about half the price, has great reviews and works very well.

Fast Speeds!
Read/write speeds are faster on this external drive than my old laptop with an internal DVD drive. Very happy with the upgrade coming with a lower price point unit.

works great on mac
I am always worried about usb drives that say they are for mac if not from Apple. Hey no worries here! I am happy.

Won't play DVD's, a google search says not compatible with Windows 10
POS. Don't buy it. Many people say the same.

Very easy to hookup. No power cord, just a USB connection - an no drivers are required, either. I was able to use to install software successfully and with no problems on Windows 10.
