Sturdy, easy clean, smooth operation, but be sure it suits your model Kitchenaid mixer, as I had an older model and chose to buy a new one, because I wanted to keep the icecream bowl

Great for homemade ice cream

The kitchenaid ice cream attachment is great for those who want to make their own homemade ice cream. I love that it is easy to clean (however no dishwasher, no immersion in water for the bowl) and is fairly straight forward to use. The ice cream that I have made has been so yummy and delicious and the consistency is great. I also like that it makes a clicking sound when the ice cream is done. The only downside would be that the attachments can be tricky to put on and you must have the bowl in the freezer for at least 24 hours to get results.
