Pure Gold

I'll start by saying this game isn't perfect but if you're a Harry Potter fan, you'll love this game. The combat is amazing, easily changing between spells and combinations of spells to destroy enemies. Potions are useful but I find myself hardly using them unless its the Wiggenweld potion. Others may use them a lot. Graphics are beautiful in my opinion on performance mode at 60fps. I've not tried the fidelity 30fps mode, although with Ray tracing, it'll look amazing. Character creation is limited but does enough to fulfill my needs. There's plenty of clothing options. Gameplay is fun and keeps me wanting to come back for more. I've played 40 hours so far and there's more to do. If you really get into the world of Hogwarts and Harry Potter you'll notice many things that link to the movies.

Pretty good

Not as good as I was expecting, no known characters yet which would have been nice, only starting to explore hogwarts freely now just over 2hrs into the game, starts off with a random adventure/quest prior to arrival. Disappointed the sorting hat doesnt have a few more questions and gives you 2 options strictly – it gives you 1 suggestion after 2 basic questions, but then you can choose your preference. Graphics are decent, couple of glitches but overall good. Love the massive exploration area. Producing spells should be more of an action movement thing rather than using buttons on control.

Story is based in the past as well as the gameplay

First review I've ever done. Love gaming but really let down by this game. But it and once you get over the buzz of having an open world hogwarts game you'll see what I mean.

Hogwarts Legacy Review

The captivating Harry Potter book series has whisked children, teens, and adults off to a hidden world of enchantment and magic since its debut in the late 1990s. The novels spawned a franchise that spans movies, games, and mountains of merchandise. Building on that, developer Avalanche Software takes a stab at the first big-budget Harry Potter game in a decade with Hogwarts Legacy. It's an action-RPG that delivers an open-world interpretation of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, as well as the familiar landmarks that surround the academy. Harry Potter fans will appreciate the engaging action, robust spell selection, varied game modes, and expansive customization options, particularly if they're playing on a console. Unfortunately, the $59.99 PC version has significant frame rate issues that occasionally make the game frustrating to play. Magical Beginnings Hogwarts Legacy starts with your created character receiving an invitation to the illustrious magical boardi...

Hogwarts Legacy delivers a detail-rich world steeped in Harry Potter lore with satisfying spells, exploration, and combat, though it plays better on consoles than on PC.

Detailed and faithful Harry Potter world; Good voice work and presentation; Engaging combat; Satisfying and rewarding exploration; Fun customization options; Steam Deck Verified

Wildly inconsistent PC frame rates; Needlessly limited inventory; Clunky spell swapping; Controversial connection to J. K. Rowling

Amazing game, especially on the PS5!

I'm not a huge harry potter fan, but it's done in a way where you don't need to have any prior knowledge about the franchise – so still enjoyable for someone new! I love the side quests, the character creation, outfits and hairstyles, and of course the magic and open world that's perfect for exploring. I thought about buying this for the Switch, but with how good it looks on the PS5, I wouldn't bother lol

Better be a hardcore fan

Hogwarts legacy is a below average game the combat is great so is the world but the story is not very good the making potions and planting uses real time to be made so if you want to spend 15 minutes waiting for a potion to be made then it better be worth it otherwise if your a hardcore fan you'll love it
