A big, sturdy, multifunctional printer, but its wealth of features are marred by disappointing prints and scans

I've always had HP printers and after my previous one came to the end of it's life I found this All in One with separate colour cartridges. I find these better than the multiple colour ones as I print images for card making, allowing me to replace just the colour that is low.

Printer as described bur registering for 3 months free trial hp ink - stated on box and inside box was not available on the internet during registration. This was sorted out by contacting customer services. Printer has been easy to connect to the internet and is straight`ightforward to use.

Decided to scale down from my previous 8620 when the printer heads gave up the ghost. I looked at replacing them but there was no guarantee that it would solve the issue which would have been fairly expensive.

This is a replacement printer and very pleased with it and it's features

Instructions and process for installation was very easy and seamless. The machine prints colour and black & white with great clarity. Shame the print cartridges are so expensive but very happy with the performance in these early days.

EVERY TIME you go to print, it has to do "maintenance" - sucks up ink and takes forever. don't leave your printing til the last minute! We got it last fall sometime. I got all new toner cartridges on Nov. 1 and I had to replace them again before the end of January, and we don't print that much!

This printer looks good, smells good and prints beautiful prints....with good reason...Default print settings.... 600 DPI Even in draft mode it prints at 300dpi. Can you say "HUNGRY" As in Ink! It's going Straight Back Today! 1 - Star for the company screwing the consumer.

I won't go through the capability of the printer, you can get that on the box. What I will go through is my setup experience, positives, and disappointments. Setup was quick, as per HP, they are very proprietary software driven.
