Great suction for wooden floors and heavy low pile rugs. Flimsy rugs get caught. Not able to get low enough to reach under bed and need to use extension tool. However, the hose continues to contract whilst in use this becomes frustrating. It is heavy to maneuver and cumbersome on the stairs, my dyson stick for them. This is my first upright. The dyson barrel vacuum was easier to maneuver.

Dyson Light Ball Multifloor+ LIGHTBALLMULTIFLOOR+ review

The Dyson Light Ball Multi Floor is a bagless upright that brings carpet and hard flooring up a treat

Goes right to the edges, Long cable, Brings up carpet a treat

Even with its light design, it won’t prove an easy lift for some

Not happy

I have been using Dyson vacs both barrel & stick & would always recommend so when I wanted to upgrade I thought the upright would suit me as I’m getting older. I am so disappointed in the upright model I find it hard to maneuver, for me it is heavy & both my wrist & shoulders hurt when I use it. I get caught up in the cord & do not like the hose as all I do is drag the vac around when I try to use it. I really thought this would be a great choice & I did check out the reviews but I’m sorry I bought it but of course I can’t return so I’m stuck with it as I gave my old Dyson barrel vac to my daughter - she’s happy but I’m not.

Dyson Light Ball Multi Floor+ Carpet Suction

I have previously been highly critical of the Dyson Light Ball Multi Floor+ vacuum cleaner but that has changed due to experimentation. When I was initially trying to vacuum carpet this machine would simply not move and got itself stuck on the carpet rug. After tedious chats with Dyson my wife and I decided to experiment and tried the machine on a different quality of carpet and loo n behold the machine performed wonderfully. The takeaway from this is that I suspect the less expensive, probably nylon based, carpet will not permit the vacuum cleaner to function correctly. If you have an issue try on different carpets.

Good for those who enjoy an upright vacuum

It actually does a great job on flat, thick, carpets. It's own weight pushes down on the carpet allowing it to pick up dirt that's been packed in there over the years. It also runs consistently along the carpet, even though its heavy, you only need to use a certain amount of energy. Navigating around corners is also not too bad for an upright. Overall it picks up more dirt than any other vacuum at record time. The cons however: My wife doesn't like this vacuum as its too heavy. Even in its transporting "mode" to move it around between rooms is very cumbersome and many times it keeps clicking out from the transport mode. Carrying it on the stairs even worse. I don't know what they were thinking when it came to the pipe extension. Almost 80% of the time when I use it, the vacuum falls over. Its difficult to use this unit to clean sofa's, car's and corners. I have not seen any other vacuum that has been able to match the carpet depth cleaning power up until we upgraded our cordless

Not happy Jan

Finally succumbed to marketing hype and chose the lightball. It is great on tile floors and short carpet in wide open areas. That’s all. The hose attachment is terrible and needs to be untwisted to get any length, it is much shorter and clumsy than the happy lady in the brochure represents. Crevice tool useless and attachments super cheap and tacky. Can’t vacuum under any furniture even high standing stuff. I’m having to buy a second vacuum to do edges and stairs. Our cleaner hates it. So do we. The power head blocks with lint and hair sausages regularly. As an engineer I was excited about the clever company but apart from the suction system it’s a dud. Super unimpressed and poorer!
