DJI OM 4 156732 review

The phrase 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it' came to mind a few times during this DJI OM 4 review....

Borrows most of design from Osmo Mobile 3 Comes with tripod stand Works with more phones More powerful motor

Magnetic system only for die-hards Companion app still kind of confusing Video features hit-and-miss Expensive

DJI OM 4 Review

While there aren't too many updates to write home about, the DJI OM 4 is still the best mobile gimbal you can buy right now. The new magnetic clasp makes attaching your phone easier than ever, and the additional features found in the DJI Mimo app make for some great filming moments, but it's hardly the most essential upgrade if you already own a DJI Osmo Mobile 3. If you're on the market for your first mobile gimbal however, then look no further than the DJI OM 4.

New magnetic set-up is easy to use; DJI Mimo app is better than ever; Long battery life and simple controls;

Struggles a bit in strong winds; More expensive than the DJI Osmo Mobile 3;

Construction quality is quite good—the body is sturdy polycarbonate with a rubberized mount. It's a little heavier than the Osmo Mobile 3 at about a pound, but a bit more compact overall. It measures 7.0 by 4.0 by 2.8 inches (HWD) when folded for transport. In order to slim the design down from t...

The DJI OM 4 is a solid and inexpensive three-axis gimbal with all-day battery life, but some of its most interesting features may not work on your phone.

Affordable; Excellent battery life; Magnetic clamp makes it easy to switch between phones

Android and iOS apps offer inconsistent performance; Clamp doesn’t play well with volume rockers on some phones; Battery can't be removed or replaced

Most convenient gimbal around; Excellent battery life; Solid build quality;

Costs more than the Osmo Mobile 3; Core performance similar to predecessor; Ring mount only works with plastic phones;
