Canon CanoScan LiDE 300

Quick and easy to use

I had the Canon LiDE 25 scanner for ages, and it finally died. This one is 100 times faster. I use it mostly for scanning bills and checks so I can't really speak to the color accuracy but it seems pretty spot-on.

Works. Faster then older scanner.

Soaftware did not work with Mac OS 10.14. Had to buy VueScan, cost more than the scanner!

Good value for the price point

Bought this scanner as a basic office scanner for my company. It is simple to hook up and use. The scan quality is great for documents.

A great price for a simple to use device.

I needed a replacement scanner and this Canon flat bed scanner is easy to use and does a wonderful job of photos and documents. A very portable device to use with my laptop.

Otherwise, everything else is the same. And, yes, I get that for budget-strapped students and others, especially those who just don't scan often , that $20 could be more wisely spent elsewhere. Either CanoScan model will work just fine in low-volume scanning environments.

Require a downloaded app

Can be tricky to install the downloaded app if you use a work computer that requires "Super Admin" privileges. So not a straight "Plug and Play"
