This was bought as a gift for my husband. He absolutely loves the scent. Unfortunately I was told this will be a soon to be retired scent so I bought 2 bottles. It should last him a while.

Mandarin, Cardamom, Rum, Pepper, Jasmine, Patchouli, Cognac, Oud, Cedar, Musk. Okay, so I'm guessing that the designer houses feel the need to add the oud note in their accord listings these days. The "oud" in Klein's Encounter is reminiscent to barbershop implementations the likes of Black Elixir.

I found this has a really nice winter scent to it and would definitely recommend this to others. It's a good everyday aftershave as it stays around all day but isn't overpowering and is a good addition to my collection and will be well used.

I got this scent for my husband this Valentine's Day...both he and I love the smell and I am hard to please when it comes to fragrances. It's just perfect!!

Traditionally I've always enjoyed Calvin Klein fragrances and they all seem to smell quite familiar. Encounter is a nice refreshing change to a typical Calvin Klein in my opinion.

**Introduction** I received this new fragrance as one of my Christmas presents this year. I usually get an eau de toilette gift set every Christmas and like to try new ones all the time.

Hubby has recently started using a safety razor and switched to balm over aftershave. I picked this for him as a good quality, reasonably-priced but hopefully nice-smelling balm and I wasn't disappointed. He loves the feel of this and the scent, and now it's the only one he wants to use.
