On PC these work great. Make sure you have it plugged in to your machine BEFORE you open the application. Otherwise you will get an error. For MAC users, if you are getting an error message everytime you open the app, go to security, click the lock at the bottom and then hit allow for the scanner to...
The easy set-up.You install software and plug it in.Find the scan folder in your documents. You can save as a pdf or jpeg.Scanning can be a little slow but over all it worked great for my needs.
This scanner was very disappointing. I bought it to scan family photos. It worked beautifully at first, but lines and streaks soon appeared that could not be fixed with calibration or cleaning. Customer support had no suggestions besides those two options, rendering the device useless.
Very much in the same category as the Visioneer RoadWarrior 3 , the Brother DSmobile 620 ($129.99 direct) shares the same description as a highly portable, inexpensive, basic scanner .
Low cost; Highly portable; Comes with capable document management software with built-in optical character recognition
Although it comes with business card software; it doesn't handle business cards well
Very much in the same category as the Visioneer RoadWarrior 3 ($93.99 at Amazon), the Brother DSmobile 620 ($129.99 direct) shares the same description as a highly portable, inexpensive, basic scanner. The basic part means you have to do without an automatic document feeder (ADF) and duplexing (two-sided scanning), two features you'll find in the Editors' Choice Canon imageFormula P-215 Scan-tini Personal Document Scanner. If light-duty scanning is all you need, however, it could be the right fit. The DS-620($199.99 at Amazon) weighs just 14 ounces and measures 1.4 by 11.4 by 2.1 inches (HWD). That makes it significantly smaller and lighter than the Canon P-215, and obviously a more attractive weight for carrying with you. That's doubly true if you don't expect to scan any documents longer than a page or two, so you won't miss not having an ADF and duplexing. Throw the lower price into the mix, and the DS-620 can easily be the more attractive choice between the two. Setup, and S...
The Brother DSmobile 620 scanner is suitable for light-duty scanning as a portable or on the desktop, with simplex (one-sided), manual-feed scanning and a low price.

It works fine. nothing to complain about.
-its relatively small; -usb power; -fast enough
none
Reliable for the odd document, quality is just fine don't expect miracles however. Not great for id cards etc. they can be done but it needs help not to get jammed.
I bought the scanner a few months ago, it gave me error messages after scanning 1 to 2 pages, either communication error, or takes forever to buffer memory, and then when I check task manager, it turned out that the program is not working.
Performs just as advertised. Easy setup. The software may take some tweaking to get a good image for B+W, color, etc., but once it's done, the results are very good. Not for high-rez work for reproduction, but perfect for everyday use. Recommended.
