Pretty easy to set up and it is really smooth and reactive to PS4 games. Also it has good feature with blue eye filter and various gaming mode.

Very happy

Been pretty lucky with monitors so I figured my number was up. Was worried about all of the negative reviews citing 'poor QC' but I got a good one. No dead or stuck pixels. Moderate light bleed and the normal IPS glow but otherwise a huge upgrade from my 1080p 144hz TN panel.

No Quality Control.

Back light bleeding (BLB) in multiple places and 3 dead pixels. 2 right next to each other causing a larger spot. You can see the BLB on non black pictures. I thought QC would have been sorted by now. It does not come with a displayport cable either.

FreeSync bonus

This monitor was the only one to check all the boxes for me: 27quot; screen, 1440p resolution, IPS panel, 144hz refresh rate, and FreeSync! I am currently taking FreeSync as a free bonus feature as I have a GTX video card. I personally feel GSync is way too expensive.

Powering this with an AMD Fury X and running everything on max settings with freesync enabled. Used software to boost the Freesync range to 60-144hz. Only gripe is the minimal backlight bleeding on one corner of my screen. Not a big deal. Over time you wont even notice it anymore.

amazing screen.

i tried two other screens before deciding on this one, both were full hd screens but had tn panels and i wasn't happy with the colours on either of them. read some good reviews but also some bad about this screen but thought i would give it a try anyway.

Good gaming panel IF you can get one that works!

The apparent void of QA is where this monitor loses an egg. My guess is Asus has decided that the process of Quality Assurance is too costly in terms of manpower and assets, so they have none in place for this particular product.

-1440p resolution! If you're coming from 1080p, the amount of screen real estate gained is CRAZY; Much less scrolling involved! -Decent build quality and quick release that attached panel to stand is a nice touch.

-As is the issue with current IPS displays, there is a fair amount of IPS glow involved; Its only really noticeable when working or playing against a dark background, but it can be distracting depending on the person; -Freesync is hard-capped at 90 FPS with this monitor.

Asus MG279Q Review

Consistently good image quality; AMD FreeSync and 144Hz operation; Genre-specific game modes; Good control and ergonomic options ;

Rival from BenQ has more features; A little more expensive than the competition;
