Though over twice as heavy as the Nikon D5300 it replaced, I'm extremely happy with the camera. The numerous dials allow quick changes without going into the menus. The camera arrived safely, well packaged, on time. Thank you, Camera Box!

True to its number-1 naming, the PENTAX K-1 signifies the arrival of a new era in 35mm full-frame digital SLR cameras.
This camera is superb. I am a landscape photographer and have achieved stunning work with it, easily comparable to that produced by pro level Canons and Nikons. But the main reason I decided to write a review may be the deal breaker for some.
Easy To Use; Excellent In Low Light; Fast Shutter Speed; Good Battery Life; Good Sized Screen; Great Resolution; Nice Features and Settings; Rugged
I have owned this camera from new. I use the 24 - 70 zoom,the 70 -200 zoom and the 150 - 450 zoom.I also own the 28 - 105 zoom. They all perform amazingly well with the K-1.
Image quality; build quality
not really designed for big hands; thumb rolls onto the four way controller when using the camera in any mode
Considered a Nikon D810 but the Pentax K1 has the same sensor (Made by Sony) at a fraction of the price. Image Quality is stunning and The K1 offers full setting option with easy to access controls.
Build quality; Battery life; Screen size
Bulky
Pixel-peeping Pentax fans are eager for the K-1 (though it already feels outdated).
High-quality stills; 5-axis in-camera stabilization; Unique adjustable LCD
Seems dated even though it's a 2016 model; Only 30p video; not even 60p let alone 4K
I have waited for the full frame Pentax for years !. It uses ALL of my old Pentax lenses while providing anti shake built into the body; that means even my no name telescopic lnses have anti shake at no extra cost. Just love the controls; extremely well thought out and intuitive to use.
For its first-ever full-frame DSLR, Ricoh offers up the Pentax K-1 -- and what a beauty it is! With a superb design, features aplenty, great image quality and a solid, comfortable all-weather body, the K-1 is a no-brainer upgrade for Pentaxians looking to go full-frame.
Unlocks the full potential of full-frame Pentax lenses; Excellent image quality; Great ergonomics and build; Very compact for full-frame; Decent performance; Fast autofocus with great low-light capabilities; Very wide sensitivity range; Bright, accurate viewfinder; Articulated LCD; Stabilization,...
No built-in flash strobe; Quite heavy compared to APS-C flagships; Somewhat soft images and blown highlights by default in JPEG mode; Warm Auto white balance indoors; Slow startup and buffer clearing; Small top-deck status display; Weak viewfinder illumination; Below-average battery life for DSLR
Outstanding handling and image quality in an affordable package. I held off trading up to a K1 for a few months thinking the advantages didn't warrant the price. Now I've made the move I'm blown away by the image quality even at high ISO's.
I have had this camera for about 6 months and overall it has pretty much met all of my expectations. I have shot with Pentax for about 5 years now, and have had a K-5, K-5IIs, K-3II and now the K-1, so I know what to expect regarding Pentax's strengths and weaknesses.
