I am only going to comment on underwater usage. Also, I am going to compare with Canon D30. I currently have two of Canon D30 and two Nikon AW130s. I have taken both cameras to 35m depth with no problem, so I consider their depth rating to be the same.

The camera arrived 3 days before my Alaska cruise so I didn't get much time to familiarize myself with it. I used it for pictures and videos during the trip and was very happy with the quality and ease of use. Now... if I could only figure out the wifi portion of the camera, I'll be complete! :-)

My initial rating is outstanding. Although I have not yet used this under water, I anticipate that it will do well based upon past experience with a similar Nikon product. This camera takes superior pictures on dry land compared to the one it is replacing.

Great quality for this type of camera -Lots of options on camera menu -Bright color (yellow) makes it hard to lose -Awesome LCD brightness and contrast outdoors

-Will fog (just like any other waterproof camera) in the right conditions; (Read manual on how to deal with this, its normal) -Does not produce images at the same quality as a DSLR, particularly on land, but does a better job that most other cameras in this class

I use to film surf videos and it works great.

hard to see viewfinder in bright sun

I bought this to take underwater photos and that worked great. What surprised me was how great the regular pictures I took were. I also have a Nikon d700 and a d300. The only issue I've had is connecting it to my iPad.

Nice Quality photos & videos

This is a fantastic little camera it is build extremely well it takes very crisp detailed photos both on dry land and under water up to 30 meteres tge battery will last up to 370 individual pictures it has a high performance lens.

Really strong hardwaring product, allows AW130 to be ised in various siruations and activities. The bag is also a nice feature as can carry the accesories and camera whilst keeping dry but also enough space for other items. e.g wallet, keys etc

Don't buy this unit for under water photography. I've gone through two of them and both have failed...one flooded and one cracked under pressure well below the unit's rated depth. Nikon charges almost as much to repair the units as it costs to buy a new one. Avoid.
