I have had 3 robot vacuums before and this is by far the best yet. I learned from the others what I didn't like and this has none of those issues. It has not got stuck yet and I have a mixture of carpet, tiles, mats and kids (hehe). It finds it's home, recharges, empties itself and carries on where it was up to. It has only twice run out of power before getting back but that is not a biggie to me. It connected via WiFi easily and mapped my house which displays on the phone app. When something needs attention, the phone app tells you and then displays useful help to solve the issue. No running to a PC and googling some help... Nice. I like that I do not have to spend lots of my time maintaining this robot or emptying it several times for every house vacuum. I have not yet had to empty the main bin. When I do, I will have to order more bin bags as the robot comes with one spare bag.
Havent seen dust since we got it. It looks after itself and we come home to a clean house everyday.
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is an impressive new development for iRobot’s line of robot vacuums, and a logical next step for the product category. Between its new smart mapping tech and digital assistant integration, this is well worth the money – if you can swing the steep price.
Imprint Smart Mapping; Digital assistant integration; Automatically empties dust; Nearly 100% automated
Awfully pricey; Recurring operating cost
Be convinced by this Roomba i7+ review and you can forget about vacuuming, literally. The Roomba i7+ doesn’t even need you to empty its bin!
Self-emptying; Choose which room; Remote controlled and scheduled cleans
Expensive; Noisy; Hates deep pile rugs
If you can swallow that hefty price, this robot vacuum cleaner offers superb cleaning capabilities, pretty much hassle-free use and setup, coupled with some excellent functions like the automatic dirt disposal and smart mapping.
Automatic dirt disposal to larger bin; Fantastic cleaning capabilities; Excellent mapping system; Cleans individual rooms; Handles various floor types brilliantly; Good battery life; Google Home and Alexa compatibility
Very expensive; Automatic Dirt Disposal doesn't always work flawlessly; Clean base is quite large; Not the quietest; Sometimes ran out of battery at inopportune moments
Imagine a robot vacuum that not only remembers your home’s floor plan and cleans specific rooms by name, but also automatically empties its own bin. That is exactly what iRobot Corp’s Roomba i7+ robot vacuum cleaner does with Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal.
The Roomba I7 is iRobot's latest and perhaps their greatest robotic vacuum to date. iRobot's latest Roomba now has what industry experts call "persistent maps" which means the robot "remembers" the layout of your home so that it can be more efficient in subsequent cleaning sessions.
Extended autonomy with the Clean Base station that empties the robot's dust bin for you; Persistent mapping stores your home's map for more efficient cleaning; Cleans a specific part of your home; Hands-free operation with Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility; Great option for cleaning pet hair
Automatic dirt disposal system now has additional recurring costs to maintain; Insanely expensive
