iPhone 8 review

Don’t let the iPhone 8 name fool you – this is very much the iPhone 7S, an incremental upgrade on the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 with a few additions here and there, but nothing to really wow you next to other smartphones in 2018.

Wireless charging is useful; Glass rear is pleasing in the hand; Camera is great at point-and-shoot; ;

Limited upgrade over iPhone 7; Bezel-heavy design looks dated; Battery only just lasts a day

Apple iPhone 8 review

Blazingly fast; Camera borders on excellent; Great build that feels solid; Speakers are surprisingly good;

Pricey; Design is effectively four years old; Camera bump still irks; No headphone port;

Apple iPhone 8+ Plus (64GB, Gold) - Excellent review

The iPhone 8 feels like home; the home you had been planning to upgrade for years but kept waiting for the right moment, the perfect deal, the latest piece of wonder-tech. Now it’s finally done and instead of having to accommodate to a new living space, you get to skip right to the good part.

Apple iPhone 8+ Plus (64GB, Gold) - Excellent review

The iPhone 14 isn’t much of an upgrade over the iPhone 13, but it’s still a great device and an upgrade for anyone coming from the iPhone 11 or older.

Great camera, Good battery, Emergency features are cool, Still excellent performance

Display could use some upgrades

Apple iPhone 8 Plus Smartphone Review

The iPhone 8 Plus offers slightly more than its smaller sibling . We are not only talking about the pure weight, which is substantial at more than 200 grams (~7 oz), but mainly the dual-camera. The display also features more pixels and you get 1 GB more RAM.

True-Tone display; fast SoC; great camera; accurate GPS; Bluetooth 5.0; high Wi-Fi performance; many LTE bands; water and dust protection; high build quality ..

..; but big and heavy, storage cannot be expanded, only 12 months warranty, no stereo jack, only average speakers, display resolution could be higher, heavier than the predecessor, very limited NFC functionality

Apple iPhone 8 Plus

The iPhone 8 Plus is a curious case of a great smartphone that fails to excite.

Fastest phone you can buy today; Brilliant 1080p display; Stellar battery life; Speedy camera with accurate focusing

Dated design; Low-light camera performance should have been better; Sort of in no man's land; thanks to the iPhone X; Wireless charger has to be purchased separately

The launch of new iPhones is always a special event. So you can imagine our surprise when Phil Schiller actually rushed through the launches of the iPhone 8 and its elder brother, the 8 Plus, as he proceeded to what in the eyes of many was the real star of the show, the iPhone X.

Great display and sound; Superb cameras; Generally smooth operation

(Still) Expensive; Slightly buggy software; Dated and slightly bulky design

Apple iPhone 8 Plus Review: A fine phone, but not the exciting iPhone

The iPhone 8 Plus is an interesting beast. It's the safety phone. Hopefully representing the last of its kind, because Apple is obviously ready to move on. Apple is also a victim of their own success though. The transition to the iPhone X will take a little time.

The most powerful phone hardware of the year; 4k/60FPS video in half the file size; Wireless charging based on an actual standard

Battery life continues to suffer, Not the most durable; Worn and dated design, Flagship pricing, but not Apple's crown jewel for 2017

Both the 8 and 8 Plus use Apple's new A11 Bionic processor, a hexa-core chip with two performance cores that are 25-percent faster than the A10, and four performance cores that the company says are 70-percent faster than the old model.

Incredible benchmark performance; Wireless charging; Improved stereo speakers; Improved cameras; Portrait Lighting (for the 8 Plus

Looks the same from the front; Mostly incremental upgrades; Not the iPhone X
