Small upgrades can make a big difference, and Apple's largest phone now leads the pack
Great screen; Superb dual-lens cameras; Solid performance; Good build quality; Strong battery life
Large; dated design; No headphone jack
Still, if you're committed to iOS your options are limited, and if you want something big, high-end and cheaper than the iPhone X then the iPhone 7 Plus is your best and only choice.
+ Very powerful; + Premium build; + Good dual-lens camera
- Dated design; - Few new features; - Middling battery
Apple releases a new iPhone every September, and it's a given that it will be the best iPhone ever. But what do you do when the company announces not one, not two, but THREE new iPhones?
A11 Bionic processor is super fast; Wireless charging works great with the proper accessory; A11 Bionic processor is super fast; Wireless charging works great with the proper accessory; Awesome camera
It's not a very innovative release; Glass back gets smudged pretty easily; It's not a very innovative release; Glass back gets smudged pretty easily; Although it's in beta; Portrait Lighting needs some work
The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are one of the most interesting iPhone updates Apple has released in the past few years. From a purely aesthetic point of view, we'd say the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are certainly the most attractive iPhone models that Apple has put forth since the original iPhone 4;...
The Apple iPhone 8+ is a larger version of the iPhone 8. With a bigger screen and a superior camera, it's the best iPhone of the current generation, but also the most expensive. Compared with the 7+, the 8+ offers more memory, a faster chip and wireless charging.
This wasn’t supposed to be the year of the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus ( available at Amazon ) . There's no denying the appeal of the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus: They're posh, exquisitely-crafted devices with powerful hardware, streamlined software, and some of the best camera experiences the...
The iPhone 8 Plus is an interesting beast. It's the safety phone. Hopefully representing the last of its kind, because Apple is obviously ready to move on. Apple is also a victim of their own success though. The transition to the iPhone X will take a little time.
The most powerful phone hardware of the year; 4k/60FPS video in half the file size; Wireless charging based on an actual standard
Battery life continues to suffer, Not the most durable; Worn and dated design, Flagship pricing, but not Apple's crown jewel for 2017
From the outside the iPhone 8 looks almost identical to the iPhone 7 but there are enough new features and improvements to make the latest model much better than its predecessor. But, in a first for Apple, there is also a better iPhone – the iPhone X – about to be released in a matter of weeks.
Would I buy this phone? Absolutely not. I can think of multiple phones I'd rather own and use than the iPhone 8. The camera is great, as is the A11 chipset, but that's not enough to warrant a price hike on a phone that is more or less indistinguishable from last year's iPhone 7.
A11 CPU is MASSIVELY Powerful; Like What Apple's Done With iOS 11; Decent Camera
Too Expensive; Boring Design; Squiffy Performance; Average Battery Life
It's that time of the year again – Apple's firmly established yearly release cycle means today we assess the iPhone 8 Plus. The current flagship, though due to be usurped by the iPhone X very soon, the 8 Plus boasts a new A11 Bionic chip, a dual-camera set up plus a new glass back.
Great camera(s); Very fast; Good display
Uninspired design looks very dated now; Software is very samey; Price of 256GB model is right in iPhone X territory
