Apple iPhone 8 Plus Camera Review

As with the iPhone X , improvements can be seen in camera performance and as for the overall performance of the phone in general, apps open up in no time at all and there's no lag. The screen is also excellent offering vibrant colours, good saturation levels and a really clear picture.

Fast and responsive; Large screen; Dual lenses; Interesting portrait modes; Decent battery life; Looks great; Photo quality is good

Lacks a headphone socket; Camera app is really basic; Doesn't shoot in RAW; Portrait modes are a little hit and miss; Low light performance still needs some work (even though improved; Expensive

Apple iPhone 8 Plus review: Till the iPhone X comes, this is the best

Apple iPhone 8 Plus is an upgrade on the iPhone 7 Plus, and sports one major design change in the form of a glass back. But is there mo...

I have used the, It's really powerful under the hood and made to take on the challenges of a dual camera, ARkit apps and 4K video recording; The phone handles everything with ease and despite getting a bit warm at times, has no issues with performance.

iPhone 8 Plus review

A solid iPhone, but a clear evolution from previous Plus models. Compared to the iPhone X, iPhone XS and iPhone 11 Pro Max it's unexciting, but it offers the traditional home button and a far better experience over the smaller iPhone 8.

Fast and wireless charging is useful; Glass back feels premium; Dual camera is powerful;

Dated design; No mobile HDR; Battery life average

Used as demo Apple iPhone 8 64GB Gold (6 month warranty + 100% Genuine) review

You think you know what you’re getting, but the iPhone 8 offers quite a bit more. There’s no getting round its highish price and dated design though

Blazingly fast; Camera borders on excellent; Great build that feels solid; Speakers are surprisingly good

Pricey; Design is effectively four years old; Camera bump still irks; No headphone port

Used as demo Apple iPhone 8 64GB Gold (6 month warranty + 100% Genuine) review

Went away from apple to samsung... but now I’m back. Great phone but debating if I should’ve got the 8plus for size although still hard to justify price ... after having the smasung 8plus... it was quite the size difference. Still happy with Apples easy useability.

Used as demo Apple iPhone 8 64GB Gold (6 month warranty + 100% Genuine) review

The iPhone 8 has plenty of power under the hood, but lacks the extra camera features and design upgrade of the better iPhone 8 Plus and X.

The iPhone 8 offers wireless charging, lightning-fast performance and small but solid upgrades to its camera, screen and speakers; Its starting storage size is a roomy 64GB, double that of the iPhone 7.

This phone has the same pedestrian design, missing headphone jack and battery life as the iPhone 7 -- and no dual camera either; The iPhone 8 costs a bit more than baseline new iPhones in years past, and comes only in black, silver and a new shade of gold.

Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus hands-on review

They might not come with Animojis but there’s a lot to love about Apple’s more affordable new iPhones. There’s no edge-to-edge screen or Face ID, either, but opposable thumbs are one of the things that set humans apart from the animals, so it’s worth keeping them well worked and reminding them of that. What the new iPhone 8 models do get is the new A11 Bionic processors and top-notch cameras (particularly where the 8 Plus is concerned), plus they’ll fit most of your iPhone 7 cases and accessories. Wireless charging is included here as it is on the iPhone X, and the new design sure does look pretty. No, they're (probably) not going to be as good as the X overall, but if your bank account frowns at the thought of a £1000 smartphone, you won't go far wrong by picking up an 8 or 8 Plus. We'll have a full review for you very soon.

iPhone 8 Plus review

The iPhone 8 Plus is a hard phone to recommend. Sure, it's powerful, but so is every other flagship - and with a dated design and huge body, the 8 Plus is lagging behind. Throw in the fact that the wireless charging is slow, the fast wired charging costs you extra, and flagship camera feature Portrait Lighting just doesn't work well enough yet, and the 8 Plus is a tough sell. If you're coming from an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus there's not much to justify the upgrade - though moving from a 6 or 6s is more understandable. And if you're currently an Android user, you'll find phones that are just as fast, with modern designs, for far less money in the Android ecosystem. It's just hard to see the argument for spending £799/$799 on a phone this big in 2017, especially with the smaller-bodied iPhone X now in the line up. This one's for big-handed Apple devotees only.

iPhone 8: Full, in-depth review

In an odd change of tune for Apple, the new iPhone 8 can’t really be said to be this year’s “best iPhone ever”. Sure, it’s got a better processor, quality-of-life improvements like wireless charging and an ever-so-slightly refined design. Unfortunately, with the futuristic, face-reading iPhone X just around the corner, the iPhone 8 feels a little overshadowed.

While it won’t inspire mania among the enthusiast crowd like the iPhone X will, the iPhone 8 remains a solid package for those happy to play things safe.

A11 Bionic Processor; Premium feel;

Camera feels mediocore by Apple's standards; Expensive;
