The launch of new iPhones is always a special event. So you can imagine our surprise when Phil Schiller actually rushed through the launches of the iPhone 8 and its elder brother, the 8 Plus, as he proceeded to what in the eyes of many was the real star of the show, the iPhone X.
Pros:
- Great display and sound
- Superb cameras
- Generally smooth operation

- Dated and slightly bulky design

Judging by the to pick up the and iPhone 8 Plus, there isn't a whole lot of hype around Apple's latest plus-sized phone. This isn't because it's a bad phone, but because Apple superseded the iPhone 8 Plus around 10 minutes after it was announced by showing off the OLED-toting, bezel-free .
Pros:
- Excellent
- versatile camera
- Great screen
- Super speakers
- Wireless charging is nice to have
Cons:
- Very heavy
- Boring design
- No OIS on secondary camera
- Would have liked the screen to be OLED

Review: Apple iPhone 8 and 8 Plus
The first place I took the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus was a sticky, late-summer wedding just outside of Austin. It turned out to be the perfect way to stress-test the new devices. The iPhones 8 have new cameras designed to hack it even on a drunken dance floor.
Pros:
- The world is going camera-first, and this is a kick-ass camera
- The glass design is a big improvement
- Wireless charging makes everything better
Cons:
- There's a lot of bezel on this phone
- Next to the iPhone X, it already feels outdated
- The iPhone 8 lets you do so much, but iOS 11 buries too much of it

The iPhone 8 Plus should really be called the iPhone 7S Plus. Its updates don't warrant a full number bump, but they're welcome improvements that make the 8 Plus another great iPhone. Yes. For iOS users, your next best bet is the upcoming iPhone X .

Apple iPhone 8 Plus
