In many ways, the iPhone 5s is identical in build and appearance to the iPhone 5. It has the same sized 4-inch screen, and is identical in size, shape and weight as the iPhone 5. Because of this, the phone feels really slim and light in your hand, and has a premium feel that you just don't get with...

Apple iPhone 5s

When it comes to the iPhone, every review since the 3G has exclaimed one thing: this is the best iPhone yet. And it should go without saying that enough changes and improvements have been made so that the newest models is, in fact, the best.
Pros:
  • Blazing fast
  • Excellent hardware (camera, speaker, overall form)
  • Solid call quality and download speeds
  • Gorgeous display
  • OS far more focused on apps
Cons:
  • Fingerprint scanner isn't as good as it should be
  • Major OS changes are often decent, more often abysmal
  • Battery life isn't competitive with top Android phones
  • Not the best phone on the market after launch

Apple iPhone 5 review: Finally, the iPhone we've always wanted

The iPhone 5 completely rebuilds the iPhone on a framework of new features and design, addressing its major previous shortcomings. It's absolutely the best iPhone to date, and it easily secures its place in the top tier of the smartphone universe. Editors' note (September 19, 2014): The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are now the flagship phones in Apple's 2014-2015 product line. The 2012 iPhone 5 reviewed here is no longer sold, but the 2013 iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C remain on sale at reduced prices. The 5C is basically the iPhone 5 in a plastic body, but -- as of September 2014 -- is now only sold in an 8GB capacity.
Pros:
  • The iPhone 5 adds everything we wanted in the iPhone 4S: 4G LTE, a longer, larger screen, free turn-by-turn navigation, and a faster A6 processor
  • Plus, its top-to-bottom redesign is sharp, slim, and feather-light.
Cons:
  • Apple Maps feels unfinished and buggy
  • Sprint and Verizon models can't use voice and data simultaneously. The smaller connector renders current accessories unusable without an adapter. There's no NFC, and the screen size pales in comparison to jumbo Android models.

Apple iPhone 5

Love it or hate it, Apple's iPhone generates an extraordinary amount of hype that no other smartphone can match. In its latest iteration of arguably the world's most popular smartphone, Apple has equipped the iPhone 5 with a larger display, upgraded internals and 4G network connectivity.
Pros:
  • Super thin and light design
  • Excellent 4in display
  • Outstanding camera
Cons:
  • Scratches and chips easily
  • Poor battery life
  • Extra screen size isn't always utilised

Apple iPhone 5 (16GB/32GB/64GB)

As we noted early in this review, it's now a truism that the latest iPhone is the best ever-a claim that Apple has also made with every generation of iPods, but not always achieved.
Pros:
  • Apple's fastest and most capable iPhone yet
  • The first iPhone to include a 4" screen, LTE cellular support, and two truly impressive cameras
  • Improved screen and camera color accuracy, plus dramatically improved low light camera performance.
Cons:
  • Battery performance too often falls below Apple's best case estimates, particularly for cellular calling and data. LTE service remains inconsistent between neighborhoods, cities, and countries, with widely varying data speeds and availability
  • some users will see no cellular speed improvements over...

Review: Apple iPhone 5

It's now been quite some time since an iPhone last graced the peak of the PC & Tech Authority A-List. For almost two years Samsung's and HTC's handsets have dominated, with the 4S not doing much to further Apple's cause.

Apple iPhone 5s (Verizon)

One of the features that's been lacking when it comes to teen phones (which arguably should be one of the most important) is security. Teens tend to lose things and since smartphones now contain a large part of someone's life, ensuring a mobile device can be properly locked down is very important.
