Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch Wi-Fi 256GB -Space Grey (4th Generation) MXAT2X/A review
The 2020 iPad Pro is very much the 2018 model plus added cameras and lidar. It’s a feature that improves AR and may prove transformative down the line. But AR on a tablet remains niche. Instead the big changes are software as part of iPadOS 13.4, which is also available for older models.- good battery life
- fast
- beautiful screen
- optional 4G
- USB-C
- great speakers
- Face ID
- mouse support
- capable work PC replacement
- lidar
- very expensive
- no kickstand without case
- no headphone socket
- will still need a PC for some tasks
Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch Wi-Fi 256GB -Space Grey (4th Generation) MXAT2X/A review
2018’s iPad Pro was the best tablet money could buy — and this one’s even better. Just don’t expect a revolution this time.- Excellent screen and beautifully realised design
- Superb speaker system and surprisingly good mics
- Peerless and versatile app and accessories ecosystem
- Revamped camera is a meaningful improvement
- Pricey — not least when you add accessories
- 12.9in model weighty for long tablet sessions
- Screen remains a fingerprint magnet and borderline unusable outdoors
Apple iPad Pro 12.9 (2020) review
This iPad cannot dazzle with newness, unlike in 2018, but still wows in all the right ways: the lovely screen; quality materials; the notion everything has been carefully considered. But can it replace your laptop? That question misses the point. Sure, you can now probably do everything you’d do on a laptop on an iPad Pro with a Magic Keyboard — sometimes with a little more effort, and sometimes less. But iPad Pro points somewhere better — to an era of modular computing, with a device that’s equally good as a tablet and a laptop (and a desktop, if Apple gets its act together regarding external display support). Whether you should buy one depends on various factors. If you don’t need its sheer power, the vanilla iPad might suffice. If you live in G Suite, decide if you can stomach using it in Safari until Google makes its native iPad apps not-awful. And you’ll need to decide whether you want a better ‘laptop’ (12.9in) or a superior and more manageable handheld device (11in). What hasn’t changed in two years is nothing else on the market comes close. And although that quality comes at a price — even more so if you factor in a 300-quid keyboard accessory — the iPad Pro remains the best tablet around.- Excellent screen and beautifully realised design

Apple iPad Pro 12.9 2020 Wifi (6GB RAM, 256GB, Silver) - BRAND NEW review
My ten year old desk top wasn’t working right so I brought it to the Apple Genius Bar. They got it working and said with my new iPad I didn’t need a more updated computer. I still don’t know everything I can do with it but I’m an artist and am figuring out which apps will be best for my purposes.

We’ve followed the iPad Pro since its launch some four years ago, buying each new model as they came along. With the 2020 version, there are significant changes to the platform. The big question, however, is whether it’s worth it: is this a good inflection point for an upgrade, and does it deliver...- iPadOS and Magic Keyboard make fantastic combination Class-leading UI Gorgeous display

Apple iPad Pro 12.9 2020 Wifi (6GB RAM, 256GB, Silver) - BRAND NEW review
Transferring all my other iPad apps over to this new iPad pro was easy. Setup was straight forward. The performance and speed of the apps compared to my older generation iPad is incredible. The screen is vivid and really makes the videos and apps pop when opened.
