After being sold to Nokia, reportedly eyed up by Google, and then reacquiring itself from Nokia, smartwatch maker Withings is back with the Steel HR Sport. Similar in style to 2016's Steel HR, the Sport features heart-rate monitoring, multi-sport tracking, and new GPS capabilities. This is all housed in a stainless steel case and spruced-up watch face; there are red highlights at the end of the hands and clearer number delineations on the face. GPS tracking is a new addition to the Steel HR range, allowing users to map their sessions (recording distance, elevation, and pace tracking) as long as the watch is connected to an iOS or Android smartphone via Bluetooth, with location tracking enabled. While there are 30 fitness tracking activities available (including running, biking, hiking, weights, and so on) the Steel HR Sport also features "automatic exercise recognition" so even if you forget to activate it, it'll track your workout.
