Increased capacity is expected with storage updates, but Western Digital has added some useful features for its lastest My Passport Studio. We miss the second FireWire port, but were impressed by the labelling system of the Western Digital My Passport Studio 640GB.
The new smaller USB connector (smaller than the standard mini USB on the 360GB) on the Passport is horrible. A slight touch and it loses connection, causing the dreaded "device removed unexpectedly" warning. This happened 3 times today in my first us...
Great portable storage. USB power is nice though it needs a powerful USB and sometimes the Y USB cable for dual USB power. I've dropped mine on wood before and hasn't broken. Easy to replace internal drive if it fails.
