I bought 1 external hard drive for my PC and 1 for my wife's PC for backup. Did not want any backup software on the external hard drive, and this model does not have any. I use the image and file history feature of Windows 10 and am satisfied with them.

I have only used it a few times, but so far so good. Very easy to use, but just one thing to point out. When plugging in it will automatically open and show some logos. One is called autorun and it does not make clear what this is.

One failed and one corrupted a folder

If you are going to buy a hard drive from Newegg (or the A-people - they're really bad, too), cross your fingers and pray it gets to you in one piece and - if you're really lucky - they might have someone working that day that has a clue about packaging hard drives!

Nice price; great drive when they work

They are sold and shipped by Newegg, the packaging disaster experts; Newegg loves to toss hard drives like this in a big box with hardly any packaging so they can bounce around and get damaged in shipping and you have to pay to send them back; Trust me, I know.

I have a PS4 and needed more space on my hard drive. I bought this, and it was super easy to install. I watched a youtube video (didn't even finish the video because I figured it out myself) to install it, but if you're good with technology you could probably figure it out without any instructions...

Hard drive is sick!!!

First impressions The Western Digital brand is one that I have had some past experience with. I have bought a few of their hard drives and also had hard drives already fitted to laptops I have bought. I have had good and bad experiences, though the bad ones were due to the poor spec of old units.

There is always room for a fast and trouble free smaller sized external hard drive. I have six of these and love them...the most useful size available for fast and effortless usage...in a practical size. Get one, and you'll never look back.
