I've now installed three of these AP-Lite Access Points and one Unifi AC Pro. I can honestly say the AC-Lite performs equally as well as the AC-Pro in the home environment. No difference in download or upload speed. Very good range. The AC-Lite's are smaller physically, around $100 cheaper than the AC-Pro and look smart. Set up is relatively easy if you have some basic IT knowledge. The UniFi Access Points can be meshed easily if you have more than one unit. Couldn't believe that this AP was so small and then couldn't believe the range and performance that I got from it. Installed the AP in a cupboard in the middle of my house and I get full Wifi in all corners of my house (157sqm) and great signal outside in the garden too. The AP is very good looking and compact, I would have preferred to have it sitting in plain site in the house. Certainly a massive upgrade from the rubbish Router that I got from my ISP, coupled this with an Edge Router X and my home network is truly rock solid.

A great little AP that provides wide coverage and good speeds for multiple devices, even in a noisy RF environment. Note that you will need to configure it using the provided SDN configuration software (which requires Java), but once configured you no longer require the software (unless you need to change it's configuration again). The addition of 802.11af support is a welcome addition for those with an existing PoE infrastructure, too.

You can easily configure the AP by just downloading the UniFi Network app. Range of the wireless connection is impressive too.

Easy to setup. Provides good wifi coverage across our entire house. And looks good mounted on the ceiling
