Turtle Beach Atlas One Review

Turtle Beach's Atlas line of gaming headsets is aimed specifically at PC gamers, but at this point the distinction seems academic. If you have a wired headset with a 3.5mm connector, especially if it comes with an extension cable or adapter that terminates in two 3.5mm connectors, you can use it with any computer, mobile device, or modern game system. The Atlas One is the most affordable of Turtle Beach's new PC (and everything else) gaming headsets, with a $49.95 price that makes it half as expensive as the high-end Elite Atlas and a quarter as expensive as the Elite Pro Tournament Headset. It doesn't offer the same incredibly plush build or audio clarity as these pricier models, but for a budget headset it's a very comfortable and functional option. Simple But Comfortable The Atlas One looks and feels simple and low-key. The headset is black plastic, with the earcups and headband alternating between a flat matte finish and a smooth, faux-carbon fiber. The large, over-ear memory ...

The Turtle Beach Atlas One is a functional wired gaming headset that works quite well for the price.

Inexpensive; Comfortable; Good mic for the price

Limited audio range; weak in the lows and highs

Great headset

Got these in November 2018 very good headset, great sound and the mic is really good at isolating your voice, can easily have music playing in the background and it still picks up your voice nicely.

Nice Gaming Headphones!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used these for PC, Xbox, and mobile use. They are a very comfortable fit, even on my husband's much larger head shape. They do not push or irritate the ears and the sound is great, along with limiting the noise from outside of your game. The only complaint I have is the microphone is supposed to mute when pushed up but it definitely does not do that. On Xbox or phone use are the times I tried it and they could still hear what I was saying. Besides that little issue they are great and I use them almost every day for PC. My husband even used them as a Halloween costume accessory as a football coach headset!

Looks great. Feels great. Sadly, sound level low!!

I regret buying it. Will keep it. But my old one that I bought 3 years ago for the same price was much louder. That had a battery pack and needed charging a couple times a week. Still wired. But had that odd thing about it. Perhaps it was needed for the far louder sound. This is just powered through the jack itself. So I guess it makes sense that it won't be as loud. Very disappointing though. DO NOT buy if you rely on loud sound for producing videos, music, or for general use. AVOID!!!!!!!!!!! Had someone written this out already, I would have clearly given it a miss.

Simple quality.

I bought this to replace my old headphones and it is significantly better than my old ones, easy to use out the box and with clear audio pick up and delivery.

Turtle Beach Atlas One review: This budget headset cuts too many corners on comfort

A few months ago we took a look at the Turtle Beach Elite Atlas, a headset I said “gives us hope” for the brand. Not only was it a PC-centric headset from a traditionally console-centric company, it was a marked step up from Turtle Beach’s norm—better build quality, better aesthetic, better sound. And it retails for only $100 (or less), if you can believe it.

Turtle Beach’s Atlas One sounds pretty good for an entry-level headset, but you’ll find it difficult to appreciate when it’s this uncomfortable.

Looks good from a distance; Mid-range performance is solid; Inconspicuous microphone;

Uncomfortable; Microphone is subpar, even for this price; Treble frequencies tend to distort at mid-to-high volume;
