Paid for new drive but was disappointing in receiving what turned out to be an open box or a return from B & H. The drive was already formatted Mac OS Extended, I reformatted; after the install disk utility shows the disk has been re-formatted 3 times so definitly not brand new.

I bought this to upgrade my Apple MacBook Pro. My laptop has never been so fast...For added space, I bought the Transcend 128gb SD card for Apple products. It is definitely a wining combo! Tons of room (for me) & tons of speed.

Upgraded 13" MBP with this kit. Video instructions on manufacturer's page were excellent and the upgrade was a piece of cake (disclaimer, I've upgraded laptops for years). Good value and the bonus is the external (your old) SSD drive you gain from the swap.

Great product. High quality. I now have 4x the HD space and the upgrade took 10 minutes. Recommend to anyone needing more space on their MBP.

Other thoughts, Well reading the instructions I was a bit lost with incomplete sentences they put, and lets you rely on the pictures to see what to do next, Wasn't very detailed, but all i did was Shoot from the hip and got it in right!

Well got this in the macbook Pro Retina; no issues; i have the 13" so no issues with the ssd being longer then the stock ssd; Installed new OSX mavericks Things Flies! Boots much faster Im getting W439mb/s and R495mb/s SSD enclosure is pretty nice,About the Same height as the Macbooks Base; Gets...

Though the cost of SSD is a little higher, but if you are looking for a device that can boost your machine storage capacity as well as performance then it is the right choice.
