Great iron

I previously had a Tefal iron which was over 10 years old and just replaced it with this model. It's a great iron, but it works differently from the older one. If the new iron is not set to the hot cotton setting, then if you want steam you need to push the STEAM button. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it is fine .... although I do prefer the iron automatically using steam. It's also not as well balanced as the older model ..... and the steam button does get in the way because it is on the under-side of the handle. I love the iron, but I would have preferred it if it worked similarly to the older models - I don't think these changes make the iron any better to use.

Ironing has become a dream!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This iron is an absolute dream! The steam pressure is sensational, it cut my ironing time in half and didn't leave behind any horrible water marks on my clothes (like many irons, i've used in the past usually do). The Turbo Steam button cut through the toughest creases in seconds! For a large and powerful iron, I was surprised at how incredibly lightweight it was to use. The only negatives, there aren't any instructions included - I had to Google to learn about the extra features and capabilities. The power cord is very much shorter than my previous iron. It was difficult to maneuver around my ironing board.

No different to other irons.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The most positive thing that I can say is that the iron surface was larger than my existing iron. The negatives about the iron was that once you filled it with water it was heavy, the power cord was very short so need to use an extension lead. The turbo button on the underside of the handle was in the wrong spot as I kept on using it by mistake as it makes the handle area smaller. Overall the iron was no different to any other iron that I have used, and I doubt that I would purchase one if I had to go and buy a new iron.

Iron twice as much in half the time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The steam produced by the iron appeared to be more powerful than my previous Tefal, resulting in a quicker and crisper iron to my uniforms. It actually cut my ironing time in half, with the ability to glide over the material without having to constantly push the steam button. Though for stubborn creases, the turbo steam button is a dream! Being in the military, we need to ensure that our uniforms are crisp and this iron definitely helped. The only downside that I can see is that the cord is considerably shorter than my previous iron, being only 1850mm vs 2200mm. That can impact on the manoeuvrability of the iron and ability to get in close without having to constantly move the ironing board. I had to move to board to be able to iron certain parts due to the shorter cable

The powerful Tefal iron

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The steam power of the iron appeared stronger than others I have used. It glided through my wrinkles on my clothes with ease. Was easy to use and the auto turn off after 8 minutes is a good idea as I'm always wondering did I turn the iron off while out, no need to worry now. The only downside of the iron was its a little heavy and that might make it harder to use for some people. All up it is a great iron to use and I enjoy ironing a little more now using it.
