Bought this to control my portable AC/Heat pump by voice (Alexa/Google). It is able to control the unit with the correct IR codes. But it is very limited to what you can do with the voice commands. You cannot set it to just fan mode by voice and controlling the fan swing is not possible either. I am now using 3 ifttt applets that kinda work: trigger heat trigger cool trigger fan Still need to use the original remote do set certain things, which defeats the purpose.

Bought to replace a Sensibo. Haven’t used any of the automatic features of the Tado app, so no idea whether any of that works - main reason I got it was for the Apple HomeKit integration (which works perfectly).

Good product, does what it says, but the Apple HomeKit integration is basic. You get on/off and temperature control and that’s it. You can’t control the fan speed or the other functions like dry and auto etc.

Fantastic HomeKit Smart Air-conditioning controller! Works a lot more reliably with HomeKit than some other competitors that I tried first.
