Out of the box this worked immediately for myself, a very simple and easy system to use. I also plan to buy a TP-Link OneMesh router to complement the kit and create a single large wifi bubble. But...if your wanting the best performance then don't just plug and leave it in the first plugs that allow it to link. Download the tpPLC software for Windows or Mac(there is an app but not sure if these devices are supported yet) and check the link speeds. Went in there with a plan of my own and the guy there said scrap that this most likely a better in option. I could have spent more money on what i was thinking about doing and i explained my plan, but the person there had a better and more efficient idea that worked out great in the end. Works well and highly recommended . The staff and the Tauranga branch were also very helpful and knowledgeable about the products that they have to offer. Defiantly shop there again

Been a little over two months. Honestly the best powerline/networking device I've come across. If you can spare the little extra to buy this one it's well worth it.

Very good product, easy to set up. I have a gaming PC in a back room and a TP Link router in the living room. Performance is excellent with the PC getting 900Mbps via ethernet. With OneMesh we have seamless extended WiFi coverage now all through the house. This is the second set of this product that I have bought & in both situations an easy install with excellent performance and this is with a house to sleepout set up/and a house to separate shed set up.

This powerline kit and wifi extender was easy to install and has made a big difference to ethernet and wifi speeds. The only drawback is its size, meaning that where there are two power sockets it blocks the adjacent socket. That aside the unit is effective and highly recommended after two weeks use.
