Synology DS720+ review

It looks new, has a better CPU and now has NVMe caching, but without an upgrade to the LAN connections, the extra performance is hard to exploit. Without 2.5GbE LAN support, Synology might find that other brands take market share in this lucrative strata.

Brilliant, really happy with choosing the Synology DS720+ over the lesser models

I've had a couple of WD MyCloud 4TB NAS drives with 3 TB USB drives off them for seven years or so and had been researching what to replace them with. Multiple people recommended the Taiwanese Synology gear so I researched further. YouTubers NASCompares and SpaceRex have done some good reviews and tutorials on these and they again were recommended fairly widely.
