When I saw the reveal trailer for Strange Brigade in spring, I was hyped. The game was promised to be a fun action adventure drawing its inspiration from the pulp fiction serials of 1930's. Just what I wanted to see!

Mummy trouble
Looks good; Loads of puzzles and collectible; Cool characters and special weapons
Shooting needs tightening; Levels are a touch too long
brash team shooter that's just a little too dumb
Cooperative shooter games are typically intense and difficult, requiring everyone to work together effectively to succeed. What makes Strange Brigade unique is the fact that it emphasizes a casual, laid-back experience that everyone can enjoy regardless of skill level.
Creative design; Solid gameplay mechanics; Strong balance between combat and puzzles
Poor level design; Mediocre presentation
Welcome to the fun, bizarre and entertaining world of the Strange Brigade and this review would read better if you put on a voice from the 1930's… as players go head to head against the nefarious witch queen Seteki who has risen from the dead to bring madness to the world.
I wanted to love Strange Brigade , I really did. I played it at EGX last year and had a lot of fun with it. Rebellion, the developers, have built the Sniper Elite franchise up and reached a pinnacle with Sniper Elite 4 last year, and I had high hopes for their new adventure.
Developed by Rebellion, Strange Brigade is the latest venture into the horde-based co-op territory by the developers following games like the Zombie Trilogy which also similarly grouped up players to take on hordes of enemies in a simple progression setting.
Breathtaking Visuals; Puzzle Varies Up Gameplay; Dated Movie/Tv Presentation; Using Traps Feels Satisfying; Great Fun for Co-op
Repetitive; Not Meant For Single-Players; Overuse of Narration
Great
