Today I will be reviewing the Rival 100 Gaming Mouse from SteelSeries. "The Rival 100 optical gaming mouse brings unmatched performance to PC and Mac gaming, armed with illumination, a best in class sensor, and six programmable

Smooth; glossy finish; Multi-color backlight; Correct weight; Color options

Easy to get a good grip, with either hand. Solid and precise build and feel.

You can change lighting options, macros and button defaults and CPI steps to cycle through in the Steel series Software, but i really do not like the software and uninstalled it as the Rival 100 works fine without it. The Number of buttons are 6 but i use this mouse for cad and website design .

In terms of buttons, they feel solid.Side buttons are good too and Wheel click is smooth; Rival 100 is quite sturdy; Even the side grips have a high quality feeling to them; The Rival 100 works quite well set on 500 CPI I could also recommend use at 1000 CPI ,but none higher, which i wouldnt use...

Software; i had no use for; especially since i do not play the default games that is included in their software settings. So no way i am going to enable another start up item

Nice mouse

Good tracker....very good design to play cs..but it would be better if the buttons were concave instead of being convex.

not a gaming mouse

Really good mouse but not enough buttons for gaming IMO. Good button feel and resolution so a good mouse for Windows.

Adequate

While this mouse is good, it doesn't really feel comfortable in my hand, as some of the edges aren't as smooth as they look in the images.

Decent mouse

Great entry level gaming mouse. The sensor can be a bit iffy at times. The mouse is very simple, with only two side buttons and a DPI switch button. The mouse is small, so it's more suited towards those with smaller hands.

Small; simple

lacks some features

Good, but..

The mouse is great for gaming and such, but if you want to use macros and other binds I would recommend Logitech or another brand as the SteelSeries engine is not good with macros.

Very good for the price

Very good for the price but doesn't have very many sensitivity settings and its lighter than I would like though well built. I like being able to have any colour on the lights though.

Clicking once results in Double click. Don't waste your time with one of these.

There is a known problem with this mouse where one click will double click. It is infuriating. I bought one thinking it'd last at last a year before I ran into any trouble, but instead encountered this problem within a week. Returning.it.
