SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless

SteelSeries has updated its range of award-winning headsets with three new models launched under the Arctis Pro umbrella. The trio arrive as high-end successors to the hugely popular Arctis 7 line, and with multiple flavours to choose from, pricing can vary considerably.

Fantastic sound quality; Excellent noise-cancelling mic; High level of comfort; Stylish understated design; Spare battery comes in handy

£300 price tag; Lacks official support for Xbox One

Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless Headset Review

I say I say I say, what do you get if you cross the wireless control centre of the Steelseries Siberia 840, the headset design of the Steelseries Arctis 7 and boost the headset frequency response up to the levels one expects from HiFi options

SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless Review: The Alpha And Omega For Gaming Heaphones

Choosing headphones is a personal experience. With the exception of your mouse and keyboard, headphones are a peripheral you will physically touch, or wear, more than any other part of your gaming PC. But in this age of wireless being king, has it really improved

They sound great – really; really great; The boom mic is retractable so it won't get in the way; The boom mic sounds fantastic and does a great job with background noise; Setup is very easy

They're expensive; People with larger heads may not find them as comfortable; No hot-swap on the battery (not a major con really)

Steelseries Arctis Pro

Ever since the Steelseries Arctis 7 rocked my eardrums at the end of last year to claim the top spot in my best gaming headset rankings, no other gaming headset has even come close to matching its supreme comfort or exceptional sound quality – until now.

SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless Gaming Headset : High-Quality Hi-Res

The SteelSeries Arctis Pro is a mighty expensive wireless headset. With an MSRP of $330/£330 and availability as low as $270 on Amazon at the timeof writing, it's more than twice the price of the SteelSeries Arctis 7 2019 Edition wireless headset ($110 on Amazon at the time of writing), which we...

Comfortable headband design; Peerless swappable battery system; Crisp hi-res audio; Feature-laden base station

Hasn't evolved at the pace of other Arctis models; Expensive; No ChatMix thumb wheel on earcups; Needs base station to charge; Headband durability concerns

SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless review: A high-end gaming headset with years of experience

The Arctis Pro Wireless is easier to recommend in 2018 than its aging Siberia 800 predecessor, but its charging system feels less useful than it once did and the audio isn’t much better than the much cheaper Arctis 7.

Industry-leading microphone; Arctis design is still exceedingly comfortable; Better sound than its Siberia 800 predecessor;

Lacks bass, and EQing more in just leads to a muddy sound; Expensive, by 2018 standards; Dual-battery system is neat, but not as useful when most headsets last up to 24 hours per charge;
