This headset was recommended to me at Twitchcon 2016 by a streamer, and my god they were right. These are easily the most comfortable, most easy to use, and awesome sounding headphones I've ever owned. Battery life is amazing compared to the experiences I've had with other brands (Razer, Logitech etc.) and the sound customisation options are great! Good microphone, although obviously would recommend a decent desktop mic for recording or streaming (AT2020 USB being my preference) but good for casual use like Skype, Discord or Teamspeak. Steelseries has never been one of my preffered brands in the past, but this headset is quickly changing my mind!

SteelSeries has a niche for building headsets used by real professionals, and the Arctis 7 is testament to that. With it, you essentially get a professional quality headset at a mid-range price.

The Arctis 3 is SteelSeries' new gaming headset with virtual 7.1 surround sound. The Arctis is designed to look subtle and classy compared to other gaming headsets. It's a reasonable headset but if your budget will stretch then we'd recommend buying the Arctis 5 instead.

So I was more than happy to give their latest entry level headset, the Arctis 3 7.1 Surround Gaming Headset, a run through its paces. Does it meet up to the expectations of entry level gaming headsets?

The SteelSeries Siberia range needs little introduction, but having such a legendary headset under the belt presents high expectations for anything to follow. So, SteelSeries endeavoured to challenge every aspect of what a gaming headset is , and the result? The Arctis line of headsets.

The sound quality was so good with the Arctis 7, that while playing, I was able to hear sound effects that I never noticed before when the sound was playing through my home's surround sound system.

If you're going to pay a premium for a wireless gaming headset , it should sound great, of course, but it should also be comfortable, work with as many devices as possible and look stylish.

In terms of sound reproduction, the Arctis 7 is about as good as it gets when it comes to an affordable, high-performance, wireless gaming headset. Without a hands on review of SteelSeries' other wireless headset, the Siberia 840, we can't say if the Arctis 7 makes this higher priced offering...

Well there we have it the Arctis 7 brought to us by SteelSeries. So I told you I would reveal my opinion and here it goes. The slight loss in quality is very minimal due to these being wireless. The headset still sounds great when compared to the wired version.
