Wired gaming gear has been a must in the past when playing reaction based games. Especially those fast-paced, action games that require quick, zero-lag responsiveness. However, the cable-less, clutter-free appeal of wireless has always been there, waiting for the technology to improve.
Comfortable and adjustable ski goggle headband; Superb surround sound quality; Retractable and high-quality mic; The ear pads are snug and remain so for hours; +24 hour battery life; Lagless connection through the dongle
If you've read my past headset reviews, you'll know that the SteelSeries Siberia series has been my ‘go to' headset over the past few years, with my Siberia v2 still going strong after over five years of use.
Comfortable and strong build quality; Good base response for movies and gaming; Clear mic and ChatMix volume adjustment; Built in Share Jack; Adjustable ski goggle band works
Treble in music could be better (requires adjustment; No 2.5mm jack for older Xbox controllers; Not the lightest headset
Have had them for over 4 months and have decided to write a resecion. + The microphone is one of the better mic sets for head sets. + Fit they fit me perfectly and. + Battery life is a little over 20 hours in my opinion. + Good that you can mix Voicechat with in game sound.
The SteelSeries Arctis 7, as we expected, is a killer gaming headset. It features an awesome design, tons of flexibility thanks to the fact that it works both wirelessly and in wired mode, and a pretty great sound quality. Of course, at $150, it has some pretty intense competition.
The SteelSeries Arctis 7 is an outstanding headset that isn't only visually pleasing, but its design is also functional which makes it an excellent gaming headset for continuous gaming sessions.
With the launch of the Arctis 7 Gaming Headset, SteelSeries goes one step further and integrates wireless connectivity, long-lasting autonomy from a single charge but also a more advanced USB transmitter for connecting 3rd party sound sources or playback to other stereo devices.
This is our favorite wireless headset for gaming that we have tested so far
Alright audio; decently comfortable
Pricey; mic is so-so; Pricey; mic is so-so
The SteelSeries Arctis 7 has some big boots to fill, that’s for sure. At $150 ( £151 ), the Arctis 7 isn’t going to hit your wallet as hard as its $348 ( £280 ) stablemate, the Siberia 840 , but can the Arctis 7 topple its pricier sibling from the best wireless headset podium?...
So at the end of the day or well end of the month and a half of testing, how does the SteelSeries Arctis 7 compare to the competition? Well if you follow the website much, you may have noticed that I have been looking for a new wireless headset for a few years now.
