Good concept; poor quality. Do better.

The player takes a long time to connect to the wifi network on startup, esp. for Netflix (minutes, not seconds). The unit intermittently freezes and has to be unplugged to restart. There is no way to return to the main menu from the built-in Pandora w/o turning off the unit or logging out.

Great Sony Blu-Ray!

Great home viewing. . . added it to our new Sony 65-in TV. Beautiful!

Easy Set-Up; Excellent Image Quality; Good Connections; Good Soundtrack Support

Decent budget blu-ray player

We decided to upgrade our fairly old Toshiba DVD player to a blu-ray player. We bought this model in particular for its built-in wireless capability, and apps which effectively provide smart TV capability (BBC iplayer, etc). Great price too (£69.99).

speed ; price ; size

patchy wireless ability ; remote design

Several little issues with it that back it bad

* Player has to be on the home menu before it will let you open the disc player. * Takes a few minutes to load the apps * Pandora wouldn't work the first 2 months I had the product, said the player didn't support the app and take a minute to load from one song to the next, randomly popping up with...

Does the job.

Nice little machine. Does everything a PS3 can do except play the games. Streaming access is just as good and loads a tad faster than PS3. Wish there were more apps but it is great for the basics. Netflix Hulu Amazon.

It works!

I bought this wi-fi enabled, Sony BluRay/DVD disk player to match a recently putchased 49" Sony UHD 4K TV, also from John Lewis. The wi-fi is used for internet access, and App and other software updates. The player to TV connection is by HDMI cable.

No full disclosure about the product. Seller recommends unsafe practices.

Product is supplied only with 120V adapter. Also does not support PAL format DVD. It only supports region 1 DVD. When I compained about the voltage adapter Seller actually suggested that I try the 120 V adapter in a 220V socket and "it should work even though it does not say so"...

Beautiful compact Blu-ray/DVD player with WiFi

Surprised at how compact this beautiful Disc Player is compared to Sony's 1st Blu-Ray player BDP-1. Every dimension has halved. and this product has many more features including Super Wi-Fi.
